Journal of Demography

The Journal of Demography (JDEM) is a biannual publication by the College of Population Studies at Chulalongkorn University, established in 1985. The journal releases two issues each year, in June and December, aiming to offer authors and readers timely access to the latest advancements in the field. The editorial process adheres rigorously to a double-blind review system, wherein manuscripts undergo scrutiny from three expert reviewers.

As a commitment to accessibility and knowledge-sharing, the Journal of Demography is freely available as an open-access online journal, with no publication charges imposed on authors. The Journal adopts a double-blind reviewing process with three readers to ensure the quality of the articles.

The journal's primary focus lies in publishing original scientific research articles and concept papers that revolve around demography. The journal publishes innovative methodologies and theories, contributing to evidence-based research and deepening our understanding of diverse subjects. Topics may include but are not limited to, fertility, mortality, migration, urbanization, reproductive health (including family planning), ageing, workforce dynamics, human development, public health, ecology, population geography, and socio-economic development, spanning community, national, regional, and international levels.
