Abstract
The purposes of this research were to compare learning outcome, to explore scientific attitude and to learn inquiry skill on course life and environment by using 2 learning methods which were Problem Based Learning and Case Based Learning. The research samples were 90 bachelor students studying at a government university. They were selected through purposive sampling method. The instruments used in this research were the learning outcome test, the scientific attitude test, and the inquiry skill test. The data were analyzed using an arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The research findings could be concluded as follows: 1) The learning outcome of students who learned by case based learning 58.40 higher than students who learned by problem based learning 54.14 at the significant level .05 2) The scientific attitude of students who learned through case based learning 4.54 higher than that of students who learned through problem-based learning 3.11 at the significant level. 05 3) the learning inquiry skill of students who learned by problem based learning 9.24 higher than students who learned by case based learning 7.32 at the significant level .05.
