Abstract
The objective of this research was to study the role of therapeutic narrative, patientlearning and the application of narrative therapy to enhance the well-being of patients. The hermeneutic analysis from 11 stories telling was used to collect the data. The research instrument consisted of structured therapeutic interview. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The results are as follows: 1) Narrative therapy plays important roles in human development such as: healing, empowerment, reflection, problem solving approach, and communication. In addition, it also plays an important role in education, and also in the identity and ideology of the individual. 2) According to the results, patient learning is the learning of the values of life, awareness of family caring, learning actions and their effects, learning to face changes, and the creation of new identities. 3) Patient learning can be used in medical and nursing training programs, patients, and therapists through the model and activities of higher education. The results of this research revealed that the use narration and master story is a learning management tool for human, social and organizational development that can be applied in the non-formal education training.
