Abstract

ในการสร้างสรรค์ซิมโฟอุปรากร “พระมหาชนก" ผู้ประพันธ์มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อนำเสนอการผสมผสานดนตรีไทยและดนตรีตะวันตกประกอบวรรณกรรมไทยในรูปแบบดนตรีเชิงพรรณนา สื่อให้เกิดจินตนาการในเรื่องราวพระมหาชนกซึ่งเป็นชาดกหนึ่งในทศชาติของพระพุทธเจ้าโดยในปี พ.ศ.2531 พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงดัดแปลงมหาชนกชาดก ให้มีความเหมาะสมกับสังคมไทยในปัจจุบันมีการเน้นในเรื่องผลของคุณธรรมและวิริยบารมีอัน จะนำไป สู่ความสำเร็จที่ยิ่งใหญ่ รูปแบบการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานเป็นบทประพันธ์ สำหรับวงออร์เคสตรา ร่วมกับวงดนตรีไทยและวงขับร้องประสานเสียง มีความยาวประมาณ 50 นาทีประกอบด้วย 4 องก์ในบทประพันธ์ได้ใช้ระบบโทนาลิตีผสมผสานเครื่องดนตรีไฟฟ้า และเครื่องดนตรีตะวันออกในการบรรยายเรื่องราว องค์ประกอบสำคัญที่ใช้ในบทประพันธ์ ได้แก่ การเลือกใช้คอร์ดการดำเนินทำนอง การจัดกลุ่มตัวโน้ตให้เป็นโมทีฟสำคัญ และนำโน้ตในแต่ละกลุ่มมาใช้ ทั้งขั้นคู่ 2, 3, 4 และ5 คอร์ดเรียงคู่ 4 และ 5 นอกจากนี้ยังนำเสียงประสานที่เป็นแบบโพลีโทนาลิตี พื้นผิวของบทประพันธ์มีการใช้ทั้ง โฮโมโฟนี โพลีโฟนี เฮเทโรโฟนี ประกอบกับเทคนิควิธีการประพันธ์ เช่น การดัดทำนอง การแตกทำนอง การเลียน โดรน ออสตินาโต ซีเควนซ์ ไซคลิก การพลิกกลับ การถอยกลับ มีการปรับเปลี่ยนบันไดเสียงหลายครั้ง มีทั้งอัตราจังหวะธรรมดา อัตราจังหวะผสม และอัตราจังหวะเชิงซ้อน การใช้ดนตรีหลากรูปแบบมาผสมผสานเพื่อบรรยายเรื่องราวใน “พระมหาชนก" นี้เป็นการเสริมสร้างจินตนาการ และความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ให้กับวงการดนตรีของไทยที่จะต้องพัฒนาตามกระแสโลกาภิวัฒน์อันจะนำไปสู่การยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติต่อไป

The Operatic Symphony “Mahajanaka" is the creative Musical a Art in the form of symphonic composition inspired by His Majesty the King‘s Buddhistic literature of the same title. The Significant Operatic Symphony accompanied by the modern dance drama and lived Sand Art aimed to pay tribute to the King in his 84th year celebrated anniversary in the year 2011. The minor modified version of the story in 1988 had expressed the ultimate perseverance without the desire of great reward of the heroic idol “Mahajanaka Jataka" whereby the dramatic music composition has been formatted in programing approach. The well crafted orchestral design combined with Thai traditional ensemble, Electronic Music, choir, Western orchestra and 3 solo singers within the 59 minutes duration of performance. Besides, the melodic structural beauty, the newly invented chords and harmonic progression, the heterophonic texture and kaleidoscopical colour of sounds are purposely enhanced as the highlight of the work. Moreover, the integrated compositional techniques were utilized and transformed wisely into this masterpiece. For example, the quotation, fragmentation, retrograde as well as the transformation of keys and motives. The Operatic Symphony “Mahajanaka" is the contemporary music composition which shows the new horizon of influential motivation of Thai Music to the world of globalization.
