Abstract
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างค่านิยมและวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นกับการกระทำความผิดฐานฆ่าคนตายของผู้ต้องขังในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เพื่อหาสาเหตุทางสังคมในการกระทำความผิดฐานฆ่าคนตาย ซึ่งทำการศึกษาผู้ต้องขังที่กระทำความผิดฐานฆ่าคนตายและพยายามฆ่าในเรือนจำในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช 3 แห่ง คือ เรือนจำกลางจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เรือนจำจังหวัดทุ่งสง และเรือนจำจังหวัดปากพนัง ทำการเก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม จำนวน 200 คน นอกจากนี้ยังได้ทำการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-depth Interview) ผู้ต้องขัง 10 ราย เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Information) มาประกอบการวิเคราะห์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) และการทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ด้วยค่าไคสแควร์ (Chi-square) โดยใช้ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ 0.05 สำหรับข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณและวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา สำหรับข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ค่านิยมและวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความรุนแรงในการกระทำความผิดฐานฆ่าคนตาย ได้แก่ ความรักในศักดิ์ศรี ความภูมิใจในท้องถิ่น ความนิยมเล่นการพนันขันต่อ ความมีใจเป็นนักเลง ความนิยมแก้ข้อพิพาทขัดแย้งด้วยตนเอง และความรู้สึกเป็นปฏิปักษ์ต่อข้าราชการและคนต่างถิ่น ส่วนความรู้สึกไม่ปลอดภัยในชีวิตและทรัพย์สิน พบว่า ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความรุนแรงในการกระทำความผิด

The objective of this research is to study values and regional culture which related to homicide of convicts who were murderers in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Questionnaires were used to collect data from sample of 200 convicts who were murderers and are committed in Central Prison of Nahkon Si Thammarat province, Prison of Thongsong province and Prison of Pakpanang province, expect these 10 convicts from interested murderers are interviewed in-depth. In analyzing quantitative data, percentage and mean are used. In order to study the relationship between variables, the Chi-square is used of the level of significance 0.05. The results of the study are found that the values an regional culture which related to the strengt of homicide are dignity, pride of homeplace, fanatic in gamble, toughness, self esteem in solving dispute and hostility.
