Abstract
From the stem bark extract of Aglaia pirifera Hance, a lignan with tetrahydrofuran nucleus called grandisin was isolated and purified by using chromatographic and crystallization techniques. Formerly this compound has never been reported to be found in this genus. Its chemical and physical properties were studied.

จากการสกัดแยกสารจากเหลือกต้นค้างคาว (Aglaia pirifera Hance) โดยอาศัยเทคนิคทางรงคเลข และการตกผลึก ได้พบสารจำพวก lignan ซึ่งมีโครงสร้างเป็น tetrahydrofuran ชื่อ grandisin สารนี้ไม่เคยมีรายงานว่าพบในพืชสกุลนี้มาก่อนและได้ทำการศึกษาคุณสมบัติทางเคมี และกายภาพของสารทีสกัดได้
