Abstract
วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง "การสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์เพื่อสะท้อนภาพความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองในสังคมไทย" มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหารูปแบบและแนวคิดหลังการสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์เพื่อสะท้อนภาพความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองในสังคมไทย โดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากตัวละครกุมารทองที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมเรื่อง ขุนช้างขุนแผน และยังคงสืบทอดคติความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน จึงเกิดแนวคิดหลักในการดำเนินงานด้วยการนำกุมารทองมาเป็นสัญลักษณ์สะท้อนภาพความเชื่อของคนในสังคมไทย โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพในรูปแบบของงานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ การค้นคว้าเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ การสัมมนา สื่อสารสนเทศ การเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม และประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของผู้วิจัย โดยนำข้อมูลที่ได้จากการศึกษามาวิเคราะห์ สังเคราะห์ สร้างสรรค์ผลงานนาฏยศิลป์ และสรุปผล ตามลำดับ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานนาฏยศิลป์สามารถจำแนกองค์ตามประกอบของการแสดงได้ 8 ประการ ได้แก่ บทการแสดง ลีลา ผู้แสดง เสียงและดนตรี อุปกรณ์การแสดง เครื่องแต่งกาย แสง และสถานที่การแสดง ซึ่งการออกแบบในแต่ละองค์ประกอบมีกระบวนการคิดสร้างสรรค์จากจุดเริ่มต้นในการสะท้อนภาพความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทอง เริ่มจากการแบ่งบทการแสดงออกเป็น 3 องก์ โดยเล่าเรื่องราวเป็นลำดับเหตุการณ์ตามระยะเวลา ได้แก่ องก์ที่ 1 กำเนิด องก์ที่ 2 อิทธิฤทธิ์ องก์ที่ 3 ความเชื่อ ซึ่งเป็นการนำเสนอการตีความผ่านศิลปะการแสดงนาฏยศิลป์ร่วมสมัย โดยคัดเลือกผู้แสดงที่มีทักษะความสามารถทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ และบุคลิกลักษณะเหมาะสมกับบทบาทที่ได้รับ มีการออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกายที่บ่งบอกถึงยุคสมัย และแฝงการสร้างสัญญะของความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองไว้ในการออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกาย อีกทั้งยังมีการใช้เสียงและแสงในการสร้างบรรยากาศ และกระตุ้นอารมณ์ความรู้สึกของ ผู้แสดงและผู้ชม นอกจากนี้ยังมีการออกแบบอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้หลักทฤษฎีสัญวิทยาในการให้ความหมายของอุปกรณ์ประกอบการแสดง ทำให้เกิดมิติทางความหมายที่แตกต่างจากการตีความหมายในมุมมองของความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทอง โดยใช้สถานที่โรงละครแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ (Black Box Theatre) ในการช่วยสร้างภาพลวงตาในการรับชมการแสดงได้เป็นอย่างดี นอกจากนี้แนวคิดหลังการการสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์มี 5 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) การคำนึงถึงเนื้อหากุมารทองจากวรรณกรรมไทย 2) การคำนึงถึงความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองผ่านงานสร้างสรรค์ทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ 3) การคำนึงถึงการใช้ทฤษฎีสัญวิทยาในการแสดงนาฏยศิลป์ 4) การคำนึงถึงการสะท้อนภาพสังคมโดยใช้นาฏยศิลป์ 5) การคำนึงถึงการตีความอนาคตด้านความเชื่อเรื่องกุมารทองในสังคมไทย วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เป็นผลงานสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์ที่ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวความเชื่อหนึ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมไทยในการให้แนวคิดและปรัชญาในการเชื่อถือศรัทธาต่อสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใด และยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงพฤติกรรมความเชื่อที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงและสืบทอดอย่างมีนัยยะไปตามบริบทของสังคม

This thesis entitled "The Creation of a Dance to Reflect Beliefs in 'Kuman Thong' in Thai Society" aims to identify the form and key concepts for the creation of a dance performance that reflects the Kuman Thong beliefs in Thai society. The inspiration of this thesis came from the stories and beliefs in Kuman Thong that appear in the Thai literature of "Khun Chang Khun Phaen" that have been perpetuated to the present day. The story of Kuman Thong provided the key concepts for the creation of this dance performance where Kuman Thong beliefs were use to symbolize the religious beliefs of Thai society. The thesis employed the qualitative research methodology of documentary research, interview, seminar, mass media, participant observation and the researcher's personal experiences. The research data were analyzed, synthesized, used in the creation of a dance performance and the reaching of research conclusion, respectively. The research found 8 performance elements of the dance creation: performance script, dance style, performers, sound and music, stage props, costumes, lighting and performance venue. The designing of each performance elements was based on the creative process originated from the concept that the dance should reflect the Kuman Thong beliefs. The dance performance was divided into three acts to chronologically relate the story of Kuman Thong. Act 1 relates the origin of Kuman Thong; Act 2 relates the story of Kuman Thong's supernatural powers; and Act 3 relates the Kuman Thong beliefs. These beliefs were interpreted and presented through a contemporary dance style. Performers were selected for their appropriate dance skills and dispositions for specific roles. The dance costumes were designed to suit the period of the tale and to contain implicit symbols of the Kuman Thong beliefs. The sound and lighting elements were designed to create the right atmospheres and moods for both the performers and audiences. Stage props were designed from the semiotic perspective to convey meanings that differed from the general belief in Kuman Thong. The performance venue was the Black Box Theatre at Bangkok University which was a perfect venue for the creation of the desired performance illusion. Five key concepts were taken into consideration: 1) the stories of Kuman Thong in Thai literature; 2) the use of creative dance to present the Kuman Thong beliefs; 3) application of semiotics theories to the dance performance; 4) reflection of the social conditions of Thai society through a dance performance; and 5) interpretation of the future of Kuman Thong beliefs in Thai society. This thesis is the results of the creation of a dance performance to relate the beliefs found in Thai society through the ideas and philosophies of a particular faith and beliefs. It also reflects the transformation and transmission of the Thai religious behaviors through the changing social contexts.
