Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้ทำการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับสภาวะน่าสบายเชิงอุณหภาพของผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราในประเทศไทย ซึ่งในปัจจุบันผู้สูงอายุทั่วโลกเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องและมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆจึงเป็นเหตุให้ผู้วิจัยสนใจที่จะศึกษาหาขอบเขตสภาวะน่าสบายเชิงอุณหภาพ รวมถึงแนวทางการออกแบบและแก้ไขสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราในประเทศไทย การวิจัยนี้ประกอบไปด้วยการศึกษาทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสภาวะน่าสบายเชิงอุณหภาพของผู้สูงอายุทั่วโลกและงานวิจัยต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงานวิจัยเพื่อนำมาเป็นข้อมูลตั้งต้นในการศึกษา ต่อมา เริ่มทำการศึกษาและวิจัยภาคสนามโดยใช้วิธีเก็บข้อมูลกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน ซึ่งความคลาดเคลื่อนอยู่ที่ 5% โดยสถานที่จัดเก็บกลุ่มตัวอย่างอยู่ในเขตกรุงเทพและปริมณฑล ได้แก่ พื้นที่ใช้งานสาธารณะ พื้นที่ส่วนตัวสำหรับพักอาศัยและ พื้นที่ส่วนกลางของบ้านพักผู้สูงอายุสวางคนิเวศ สถานฟื้นฟูคนชราบางเขน ส่วนดูแลคนชราโรงพยาบาลมูลนิธิเทียนฟ้า และ ส่วนดูแลผู้สูงอายุโรงพยาบาลกว๋องสิว จากการทบทวนวรรณกรรมพบว่าปัจจุบันผู้สูงอายุมีอายุที่ยืนยาวขึ้นและมีแนวโน้มสูงยิ่งขึ้น อีกทั้งสภาพร่างกายที่เปลี่ยนไปของผู้สูงอายุส่งผลให้การรับรู้ต่อสภาวะอากาศย่อมเปลี่ยนไป สำหรับผู้สูงอายุในเขตอบอุ่นอุณหภูมิที่เหมาะสมคือ 26°C แต่จากการเก็บขอมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามและเครื่องมือวัดความเร็วลม ความชื้น อุณหภูมิอากาศ และค่าการแผ่รังสีความร้อนพบว่าผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราประเทศไทยต้องการอุณหภูมิ 27.10 – 31.40 °C ซึ่งอุ่นกว่าที่ผู้สูงอายุในเขตหนาต้องการและยังพบว่าผู้สูงอายุในไทยมีความพึงพอใจต่อสภาวะน่าสบายเชิงอุณหภาพที่ต่างไปจากคนไทยทั่วไปที่ได้รับการศึกษาโดย J.F. Busch (1990) และมาตรฐาน PMV ซึ่งจาก การเก็บข้อมูลพบว่านอกจากปัจจัยด้ายกายภาพยังมาจากการสวมใส่เสื้อผ้าที่น้อยชิ้นกว่าคนทั่วไปและกิจกรรมที่ผู้สูงอายุในบ้านพักคนชราทำส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นกิจกรรมออกแรงไม่มาก ผู้สูงอายุไทยที่อาศัยในบ้านพักคนชราต้องการอุณหภูมิไต้ที่อุ่นกว่าคนทั่วไปเล็กน้อย อีกทั้งค่อนข้างรู้สึกหนาวง่าย ต้องการอากาศที่ชื้นกว่าและต้องการความเร็วลมที่มากกว่าคนทั่วไป

The main purpose of this study is to understand the thermal comfort preference of residents in elderly care centers in Thailand. At present, a number of seniors around the world is steadily increasing and is a trend likely to rise. This research seeks to find the extent of thermal comfort preference of residents in elderly care centers in Thailand. The research consisted of a literature review focussing on thermal comfort of the elderly around the world. This study was performed by randomly collecting data from 400 people according to the Taro Yamane principle. The places chosen were in the Bangkok metropolitan area and its vicinity and includes Sawangkanives Houses for the Elderly, Bangkhen Elderly Care Cente, Kwongsiew Hospital, and Thianfah Hospital. Many studies have reported an increasing population of elderly citizens. These physical changes led to impairment of thermal sensation. Most older people in temperate climate zone had optimum temperature at 26°C. By collecting data with AMV questionnaires and measuring wind velocity, humidity, temperatures, and thermal radiation, it was found that most elderly people in Thailand preferred warmer temperatures of 27.10 – 31.40 °C. Moreover, they had different thermal comfort preferences from other typical Thai adults and PMV standards., The collected data also found that the physical thread from wearing clothing that's less than the pieces around and activities for the seniors in the nursing home do not require much physical energy. They desired a warmer temperature and felt it was cooler than others did in the same-temperature environment. They also preferred more humid air and more wind.
