Abstract
This thesis deals with real and complex analytic multiplicative homomophisms ф from an analytic semigroup M(n,F) to F taking 0 to 0 where F is either the set of real numbers or couplex numbers. We shall prove that either ф Ξ 0 or there exists a natural number m such that ф ( A) = (det A)^m for all A in M(n‚F).

ถ้าให้ F แทนเซทของจำนวนจริงหรือจำนวนเชิงซ้อนและ ф เป็นโฮโมมอร์ฟีซึมวิเคราะห์ภายใต้การคูณจาก เซมิกรุปวิเคราะห์ M(n‚F) ไปยัง F โดยส่ง 0 ไปยัง 0 แล้ว จะพบว่า ф เป็นฟังชั่นศูนย์ (zero function) หรือมิฉะนั้นจะต้องมีจำนวนธรรมชาติ m จำนวนหนึ่งซึ่งทำให้ ф ( A) = (det A)^m สำหรับทุกๆ สมาชิก A ใน M(n‚F)
