Abstract
งานวิจัยนี้ได้มีการเตรียมเยื่อแผ่นพอลิสไตรีนที่มีการปรับปรุงสมบัติในด้านต่างๆ ได้แก่การเชื่อมขวางด้วยไดไวนิลเบนซีน การทำซัลฟอเนชัน การเติมเกลือลิเทียมไฮดรอกไซด์และลิเทียมแอซีเทต จาการศึกษาสมบัติของเยื่อแผ่น ได้แก่ ค่าความต้านแรงดึง ค่าความสามารถการซึมผ่านของแก๊สไฮโดรเจน ค่าความสามารถในการแลกเปลี่ยนไอออน และค่าการนำโปรตอนของเยื่อแผ่น พบว่า เยื่อแผ่นซัลฟอเนเตดพอลิสไตรีนที่มีการเชื่อมขวางด้วยไดไวนิลเบนซีน 7% ที่ความเข้มข้นของพอลิเมอร์ในสารละลายพอลิเมอร์ 3% เป็นสูตรที่เหมาะสมที่สุด โดยมีค่าความต้านแรงดึง ค่าความสามารถการซึมผ่านของแก๊สไฮโดรเจน ค่าความสามารถในการแลกเปลี่ยนไอออน และค่าการนำโปรตอนของเยื่อแผ่น เท่ากับ 10.3+-1.3 เมกะปาสกาล, 565+-67 แบร์เรอร์, 5.7+-0.2 มิลลิสมมูลย์/กรัม และ 2.4x10[superscript-2] +-1.1x10[superscript-3] ซีเมนส์/เซนติเมตร ตามลำดับ แต่เยื่อแผ่นนี้ยังคงมีสมบัติด้อยกว่าของเยื่อแผ่นเชิงพาณิชย์ Nafion 117 อยู่มาก
Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)
Various modification of polystyrene membranes were studies, i.e; cosslinking with divinyl benzene, sulfonation, complexation with lithium hydroxide and lithium acetate. The membranes were characterized for tensile strength, hydrogen permeability, ion exchange capacity and proton conductivity. The optimum membrane was 7% crosslinked of 3% PSSA membrane prepared by sulfonation to 3% polymer crosslinking with 7% divinyl benzene. Its properties were 10.3+-1.3 MPa, 565+-67 Barrer, 5.7+-0.2 meq/g and 2.4x10[superscript-2] +- 1.1x10[superscript-3] S/cm respectively. However, they were still much worse than those of the commercial Nafion 117 membrane.
