Abstract

วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยนี้ เพื่อตรวจสอบอิทธิพลของอารมณ์ชั่วขณะที่มีต่อความสุภาพของภาษาที่ใช้ในการขอร้องในสถานการณ์ง่ายและสถานการณ์ยากระหว่างผู้ที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนสูงและต่ำ ผู้เข้าร่วมการทดลองเป็นนักศึกษาที่กำลังศึกษาปริญญาตรีจำนวน 120 คน ซึ่งเป็นผู้ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกว่าเป็นกลุ่มที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนสูงและต่ำ รูปแบบการทดลองเป็นแบบ 2 (อารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางบวกกับทางลบ) x 2 (สถานการณ์ในการขอร้องง่ายกับยาก) x 2 (การกำกับการแสดงออกของตนสูงกับต่ำ) โดยมีจำนวนผู้เข้าร่วมการทดลองในแต่ละเงื่อนไข จำนวน 30 คน ผู้เข้าร่วมการทดลองในแต่ละเงื่อนไขถูกเหนี่ยวนำให้เกิดอารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางบวกหรือทางลบตามเงื่อนไขที่ได้รับแล้วตอบแบบสอบถามเรื่องปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคล โดยเขียนถ้อยคำที่จะใช้ขอร้องในสถานการณ์การขอร้องที่กำหนดให้ในแบบสอบถามทั้งสถานการณ์ง่ายและยาก ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. บุคคลที่มีอารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางลบและบุคคลที่มีอารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางบวกใช้ภาษาที่มีระดับความสุภาพในการขอร้องไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ 2. ในสถานการณ์ยากบุคคลใช้ภาษาที่มีความสุภาพในการขอร้องมากกว่าในสถานการณ์ง่ายอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 3. บุคคลที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนสูงใช้ภาษาที่มีความสุภาพในการขอร้องมากกว่าบุคคลที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนต่ำ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 4. บุคคลที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนสูงเมื่อมีอารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางลบหรือทางบวกใช้ภาษาที่มีความสุภาพในการขอร้องไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ 5. บุคคลที่มีการกำกับการแสดงออกของตนต่ำเมื่อมีอารมณ์ชั่วขณะทางลบหรือทางบวกใช้ภาษาที่มีความสุภาพในการขอร้องไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of mood on polite verbal request in easy or difficult situation between high and low self-monitoring individuals. Participants were 120 under-graduate students. Teh design was a 2 mood (positive vs. negative) x 2 situation (easy vs. difficult) x 2 self-monitoring personality (high vs. low), with 30 students in each cell. Students in each group were induced to experience either positive or negative mood and responded by writing down in their own words the requests to easy and difficult situations specified in the questionnaire. Politeness of the requests made were judged. Teh results are as follows: 1. Politeness of requests made by participants with positive mood do not differ significantly from those made by participants with negative mood. 2. Requests are significantly more polite in the difficult situations than in the easy ones 3. High self-monitoring persons use more polite request than low self-monitoring persons do. 4. There is no significant difference on politeness between high self-monitoring persons in the two mood induction conditions. 5. There is no significant difference on politeness between low self-monitoring persons in the two mood induction conditions.
