Abstract

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแตกต่างกันจะมีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 2. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นชายสูงลักษณะเดียว มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการเผชิญหน้ากับปัญหาตํ่ากว่าผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายตํ่าทั้งคู่อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 3. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายสูงทั้งคู่มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการถอยห่างตํ่ากว่าผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงสูงลักษณะเดียวอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 4. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายสูงทั้งคู่ และแบบมีความเป็นชายสูงลักษณะเดียว มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการหลีกหนี - หลีกเลี่ยงปัญหาสูงกว่าผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายตํ่าทั้งคู่อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 5. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแตกต่างกัน มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการควบคุมตนเอง การแสวงหาการเกื้อหนุนทางสังคม การรับผิดชอบต่อปัญหา การวางแผนแก้ปัญหา และการประเมินค่าใหม่ทางบวกไม่แตกต่างกัน 6. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายสูงทั้งคู่ แบบมีความเป็นชายสูงลักษณะเดียว แบบมีความเป็นหญิงสูงลักษณะเดียว มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการเผชิญหน้ากับปัญหาตํ่ากว่าพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการหลีกหนี - หลีกเลี่ยงปัญหา อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001 7. ผู้ที่มีบทบาททางเพศแบบมีความเป็นหญิงและความเป็นชายตํ่าทั้งคู่ มีพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการเผชิญหน้ากับปัญหาไม่แตกต่างจากพฤติกรรมการเผชิญกับปัญหาแบบการหลีกหนี-หลีกเลี่ยงปัญหา

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this thesis was to compare coping behaviors of working adults with different gender roles in the Bangkok Metropolis. The subjects consisted of 200 males and 200 females aged 25 - 35 years old with bachelor's degree or higher levels of education. The questionnaires used were developed from The Bern Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) which was developed into Thai by Chantajit Jariyajaroonroj (1998) and Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ) which was translated into Thai by the researcher. The Chi - Square test of Homogeniety of Proportion was used for statistical analysis. The results are as follows : 1. Working adults with different gender role orientation have significantly different coping behaviors. (P < .001) 2. Working adults with Masculine gender role orientation have significantly lower confrontive coping behaviors than working adults with Undifferentiated gender roles orientation. (P < .001) 3. Working adults with Androgyny gender role orientation have significantly lower distancing coping behaviors than working adults with Feminine gender roles orientation. (P<.001) 4. Working adults with Androgyny and Masculine gender role orientation have significantly higher escape - avoidance coping behaviors than working adults with Undifferentiated gender roles orientation. (P < .001) 5. Working adults with different gender roles orientation did not differ significantly in self-controlling, seeking social support, accepting responsibility, planful problem solving and positive reappraisal coping behaviors. (P < .001) 6. Working adults with Androgyny, Masculine and Feminine gender role orientation have significantly lower confrontive than escape-avoidance coping behaviors. (P < .001) 7. Working adults with Undifferentiated gender roles orientation did not differ significantly in confrontive and escape - avoidance coping behaviors. (P < .001)
