Abstract

การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการเรียนรู้เรื่องความตาย และความเสี่ยงกับการตัดสินใจแข่งรถจักรยานยนต์บนถนนหลวงของเด็กและเยาวชน และ ศึกษามุมมองด้านผลกระทบของผู้กระทำผิดต่อรูปแบบกิจกรรมในโครงการถนนปลอดภัยจากรถซิ่ง โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาค้นคว้าข้อมูลจากเอกสาร และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญคือเด็กและเยาวชนที่ผ่านการคุมความประพฤติและได้เข้าร่วมโครงการถนนปลอดภัยจากรถซิ่ง ปี พ.ศ. 2547 จำนวน 7 ราย ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า การตัดสินใจแข่งรถจักรยานยนต์บนถนนหลวงของผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญเป็นผลมาจากการขาดพื้นที่ทางสังคม ทั้งจากในครอบครัวของตนเองที่ประสบปัญหาความรุนแรงในครอบครัว และสังคมในสถานศึกษา ผลจากการไม่ตั้งใจเรียน ทำให้ไม่ได้รับการยอมรับ เมื่อได้รับการชักชวนให้เข้าร่วมแข่งรถจักรยานยนต์บนถนนหลวง ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญได้มีกระบวนการตัดสินใจโดยพิจารณาจากตัวอย่างการแข่งขันของผู้แข่งรถจักรยานยนต์บนถนนหลวงรายอื่นๆ และพบว่า ผลตอบแทนที่ได้จากการเข้าร่วมแข่งขัน ได้แก่ การได้รับการยอมรับจากบุคคลอื่นๆ การได้รับความสนใจจากเพศตรงข้าม และเงินรางวัลที่ได้รับจำนวนมาก ซึ่งผลตอบแทนคุ้มค่าเพียงพอที่จะเสี่ยงต่อการกระทำความผิด ดังนั้น การจัดการเพื่อลดจำนวนของเด็กและเยาวชนที่ทำการแข่งรถจักรยานยนต์บนถนนหลวงที่กำลังเป็นปัญหาทางสังคมที่สำคัญในปัจจุบันนั้น ควรได้รับการร่วมมือทั้งจากครอบครัว โรงเรียน รวมไปถึงภาครัฐ เพื่อให้เกิดแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาที่ต้นเหตุ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่ผลลัพธ์ของการแก้ปัญหาอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไปในอนาคตได้

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

It has been assumed that death – related that experiences of oneself or of others and also an interpretation of risk are indispensable for an understanding of juveniles’ decisions to participate in motorcycle races which is considered illegal in Thailand. This qualitative research is thus designed accordingly to investigate these assumptions. The researcher conducted a review of legal literature, observed and interviewed 7 juveniles who had been pass of probation which lawbreaker in Land Traffic Act B.E 2522 and join to the road safety and speed control project, 2004. It is found that the decision to participate in these illegal race of these juveniles means a search for “a social space" when they are allowed to create their identity of being “someone". It is the space where they left belong and accepted – the feeling that has been missed in their childhood. Rewards from being accepted as a grate racer are for instance, money, respect, not to mention an attraction from the opposite sex. A desire to be accepted is thus so strong and overrules a risk of death in the races. It is important to learn that Life – threatening experiences these juveniles faced during their races have in fact downplay impacts of the road safety and speed control project
