Abstract

การศึกษาวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาความคิดทางการเมืองของพระเจ้าวรวงศ์เธอ กรมหมื่นนราธิปพงศ์ประพันธ์ ในข้อสมมติฐานที่ว่าท่านผู้นี้เป็น ‘เจ้า’ (“choa" – The Royalty) ที่มีความคิดก้าวหน้าทางการเมือง ซึ่งแตกต่างจากความคิดกระแสหลักของสังคมเจ้าส่วนใหญ่ ที่ยังคงสะท้อนภาพของแนวคิดแบบอนุรักษนิยม หรือจารีตนิยมอยู่ โดยความคิดก้าวหน้าดังกล่าว คือการมีแนวทางความคิดที่สนับสนุนรูปแบบการเมืองสมัยใหม่ หรือสอดคล้องกับความคิดและการดำเนินกิจกรรมทางการเมืองของกลุ่มนักคิด ปัญญาชน หรือนักการเมืองหัวก้าวหน้า อาทิ ‘คณะราษฎร’ ผู้ก่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครองเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2475 และกลุ่มนักเขียน นักหนังสือพิมพ์ยุคหลังเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครองอย่าง กุหลาบ สายประดิษฐ์, มาลัย ชูพินิจ เป็นต้น ผ่านทางการนิพนธ์ และการแสดงพฤติกรรมที่สื่อถึงความเป็น ‘เจ้าหัวก้าวหน้า’ สำหรับการศึกษาวิจัยนี้ผู้วิจัยใช้แนวการศึกษา (Approach) ประวัติศาสตร์ความคิดทางการเมือง (History of Political Thought) เป็นแนวทางในการศึกษาวิเคราะห์ โดยแนวการศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาความคิดทางการเมือง ในฐานะที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับบริบทของยุคสมัยนั้นๆ ทั้งในส่วนที่ความคิดทางการเมือง ของนักคิดเป็นผลผลิตของบริบทแห่งยุคสมัย และในส่วนที่ความคิดของนักคิดมีผลต่อการดำเนินไป และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของยุคสมัยนั้นๆ จากผลการศึกษาวิจัยได้ข้อสรุปว่า 1) ‘กรมหมื่นนราธิปฯ’ เป็น ‘เจ้าหัวก้าวหน้า’ (Progressive ‘Chao’) 2) ‘กรมหมื่นนราธิปฯ’ มีบทบาทเป็น ‘ปัญญาชนภาครัฐ’ (Governmental Intellectual) 3) ‘กรมหมื่นนราธิปฯ’ เป็นผู้มีแนวคิดแบบ ‘เสรีนิยม’ (liberalism)

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This study sought to explain a political thought of Prince Wan Waithayakon on a hypothesis that he is ‘Choa’ (The Royalty) who has a progressive political thought, supports new political regime which is called that time ‘Constitutional Monarchy Regime’ and supports ‘Kha Na Rassadorn’ who did the Revolution on 1932 in Thailand and support the group which has a progressive thought like the writers, journalists for example Kuhlab Saipradid (Sri-burapa), which is different from most of ‘Choas’ who are still have a conservative political though. This thesis was used History of Political Thought approach together with contextual analysis approach to discover that what is Prince Wan Waithayakon’s political thought and what did it does or effect to Thai society. The finding were that 1). Prince Wan Waithayakon is Progressive ‘Chao’. 2). Prince Wan Waithayakon has an important role as Governmental Intellectual. 3). Prince Wan Waithayakon has a political thought as liberal democracy.
