Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสบการณ์การเจ็บป่วยของผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นโรคมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาว โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพตามแนวคิดปรากฏการณ์วิทยาของ Husserl (Husserlian Phenomenology) ผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลการวิจัยโดยสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก ผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นโรคมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาว 10 ราย ข้อมูลการสัมภาษณ์บันทึกด้วยเทปบันทึกเสียงและนำมาถอดความแบบคำต่อคำ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลตามวิธีการของ Colaizzi (1978 cited in Streubert and Carpenter, 1999) ผลการศึกษาวิจัยทำให้สามารถอธิบายประสบการณ์การเจ็บป่วยของผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นโรคมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาว สรุปเป็นประเด็นได้ 4 ประเด็น คือ 1) มะเร็งคือความตาย เป็นการเชื่อมโยงคำว่า "มะเร็ง" ที่วัยรุ่นป่วยอยู่กับความเข้าใจความรุนแรงของโรคและการเข้าใจความหมายของความตายว่าเป็นการสิ้นชีวิต 2) กลัวตายเพราะรู้สึกว่าความตายอยู่แค่เอื้อม คือความรู้สึกกลัวตายที่ติดอยู่ในใจตลอดเวลา เพราะวัยรุ่นคิดว่าความตายกำลังจะเกิดขึ้นกับตนเอง 3) จมอยู่กับความเจ็บปวด เป็นความรู้สึกทุกข์ใจที่ต้องเผชิญกับความเจ็บปวดทั้งทางร่างกาย ทางจิตใจ โดยที่ไม่มีใครเข้าใจ และหลีกหนีความเจ็บปวดไม่ได้และ 4) ยอมแบบสู้ไม่ใช่ยอมแบบท้อ คือการยอมรับความเจ็บป่วยเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตและพยายามดำรงชีวิตอย่างเต็มศักยภาพ ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ทำให้เกิดความเข้าใจที่ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้นเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์การเจ็บป่วยของผู้ป่วยวัยรุ่นโรคมะเร็งเม็ดเลือดขาวและสามารถนำข้อมูลการวิจัยไปใช้เป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการปฏิบัติการพยาบาลและการวิจัยในอนาคตต่อไป

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this study was to describe illness experience of adolescent patients with leukemia. The Husserlian Phenomenology was applied as a methodology of the study. Data were collected by in-depth interview of 10 adolescent patients with leukemia. The interviews were taped and transcribed verbatim. The transcribed data were analyzed by using Colaizzi's method. (Colaizzi, 1978 cited in Streuberg and Carpenter, 1999). Findings revealed that illness experiences of adolescent patients with leukemia consisted of four themes, 1) Cancer is death : Adolescents connected the word "cancer" to their understanding of the severity of illness and the meaning of death 2) Fear of death because it is nearby : Fear of death was always kept in mind because adolescents thought that they would certainly die. 3) Enclosed by pain : Suffering from unavoidable physical and psychological pain which no one could understand. 4) Accepting the illness but not giving up : Accepting the illness as a part of their lives and trying tohave optimal lives. The findings of this study clearly reveal illness experience of adolescent patient with leukemia. They can be used as a data base for nursing practice and future research.
