Abstract

ปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีทางด้านข้อมูลสื่อประสม เช่น ข้อมูลภาพ และข้อมูลวีดิทัศน์ มีการใช้งานอย่างแพร่หลาย ส่งผลให้จำนวนข้อมูลสื่อประสมมีจำนวนมากขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว ดังนั้นจึงมีความจำเป็นต้องมีการจัดเก็บ และ ทำดัชนีวีดิทัศน์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการค้นคืน ตัวอย่างการประยุกต์การใช้งานหนึ่งที่ต้องการทำดัชนีวีดิทัศน์ คือ สถานีการแพร่สัญญาณโทรทัศน์ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยวีดิทัศน์หลายประเภท เช่น วีดิทัศน์ ประเภทข่าว วีดิทัศน์โฆษณา และวีดิทัศน์ประเภทกีฬาเป็นต้น ทั้งนี้วีดิทัศน์กีฬาเป็นวีดิทัศน์ที่ผู้ชมโดยทั่วไปให้ความสนใจและได้รับความนิยมจากอดีตถึงปัจจุบัน เช่น ฟุตบอล บาสเก็ตบอล เทนนิส และมวย เป็นต้น ซึ่งตัวอย่างกีฬาเหล่านี้ในสถานีการแพร่สัญญาณโทรทัศน์จะมีเพิ่มจำนวนมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ จึงจำเป็นต้องมีการพัฒนาเทคนิคการจำแนกวีดิทัศน์อัตโนมัติซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อระบบการจัดเก็บและค้นคืนวีดิทัศน์ ดังนั้นในวิทยานิพนธ์นี้ จึงได้ศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ประสิทธิภาพในการจำแนกประเภทวีดิทัศน์กีฬาด้วย ลักษณะวีดิทัศน์ระดับล่าง ประกอบด้วย ฮิสโตแกรมสี ออโตคอร์รีโลแกรม และ ขอบสี และได้นำเสนอเทคนิคการจำแนกวีดิทัศน์กีฬาด้วยการนำการวิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบมุขสำคัญร่วมกับโครงข่ายนิวรอลเพื่อปรับปรุงความแม่นยำของการจำแนก จากผลการทดลองพบว่าออโตคอร์รีโรแกรมเป็นลักษณะวีดิทัศน์ระดับล่างที่ให้ผลความแม่นยำในการจำแนกประเภทกีฬามากที่สุด และ พบว่าการวิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบมุขสำคัญร่วมกับโครงข่ายนิวรอลแบบมีชั้นซ่อน 1 ชั้น เป็นตัวจำแนกที่สามารถเพิ่มความแม่นยำในการจำแนกวีดิทัศน์กีฬาได้ ผลการทดลองจำแนกกีฬา 7 ประเภทได้แก่ บาสเก็ตบอล มวยไทย ฟุตบอล กอล์ฟ สปริงบอร์ด เทนนิส และ วอลเลย์บอล โดยวิธีการดังกล่าวนี้ให้ผลความแม่นยำที่ 92.5% โดยเทคนิคการจำแนกที่นำเสนอดังกล่าวสามารถนำมาใช้กับในการทำดัชนีวีดิทัศน์กีฬา และ การใช้งานการให้คำประกอบวีดิทัศน์กีฬา ต่อไป

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

Presently, the advances in multimedia information such as image and video rapidly progress. As a result, there are an increasing number of multimedia materials including several types of video materials such as news videos, commercial videos, and sports videos. Thus, automatic video indexing and classification are desirable steps for accessing. and storing contents in any large video library. Most widely televised sports videos include football, basketball, and tennis, among others. In this thesis, we have investigated and analyzed the performance of low level video features, including color histogram, autocorrelogram, camera motion, and color edge, A principal component analysis within multilayer neural network is proposed to improve the classification accuracy. Experimental results suggest that autocorrelogram can be used to efficiently represent sports video genres. As it offers better classification performance than other low level features. Moreover, a hidden layer neural network with principal components can improve classification performance of neural network. Classification of 7 types of sports videos including basketball, Thai boxing, football, golf, springboard, tennis and volleyball resulted in92.5% in classification accuracy. The proposed technique can also be extended necessary step toward the sport video indexing and sports video annotation
