Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาระบบการบริหารงานวิจัย ของฝ่ายวิจัยและนักวิจัยของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยเน้นที่การใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเข้ามาช่วยในการทำงาน เพื่อให้การทำงานเป็นไปอย่างสะดวก รวดเร็วและถูกต้องยิ่งขึ้น ในการดำเนินงานวิจัย ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับกระบวนงานในการบริหารงานวิจัย เพื่อระบุและวิเคราะห์ปัญหาและสาเหตุของแต่ละปัญหา จากนั้นจึงศึกษาการทำงานของฝ่ายวิจัยของหน่วยงานอื่น ๆ ของมหาวิทยาลัยเพื่อใช้เปรียบเทียบและเป็นแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ปัญหาการปฏิบัติงานบริหารงานวิจัย สามารถแก้ไขด้วยการใช้ระบบสารสนเทศช่วยในการทำงาน ผู้วิจัยจึงพัฒนาโปรแกรมขึ้นมาเพื่อช่วยในการทำงานทางด้านการบริหารงานวิจัยของฝ่ายวิจัยและผู้ทำงานวิจัย โดยเริ่มต้นจากการออกแบบหน้าจอของผู้ใช้ระบบและการออกแบบระบบฐานข้อมูล จากนั้นจึงเริ่มต้นเขียนโปรแกรมและทำเอกสารคู่มือการใช้งานแล้วทดสอบและประเมินผลระบบด้วยการให้ผู้ใช้ทดลองใช้และตอบแบบสอบถาม โปรแกรมแบ่งออกเป็น 5 ระบบย่อย ๆ ตามกระบวนการในการบริหารงานวิจัย คือ ระบบฐานข้อมูล ระบบจัดทำเอกสาร ระบบการจัดการการเงิน ระบบการติดตามการทำงานวิจัย และระบบแสดงผลข้อมูล การประเมินผลการใช้ระบบพบว่า ผู้ทดลองใช้ระบบมีความเห็นว่าระบบสามารถแก้ไขปัญหาที่มือยู่ในปัจจุบันได้คิดเป็นร้อยละ 74.2 ของคะแนนประเมิน และมีความสะดวกในการใช้ระบบคิดเป็นร้อยละ 74.8 ของคะแนนประเมิน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The objective of this research is to develop a research administration system for the Research Administration Unit and researchers of the faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, with an emphasis of using information technology to facilitate operations with speed and accuracy. In this study, work processes in the operation of research administration are studied to identify and analyze problems and their causes. Work processes of other university units are also studied for the purposes of comparison and obtaining ideas and directions for solutions to the problems, which meet requirements of the organizations involved. An information system can be useful and solve problems of operation of research administration. A software package is developed to support the research administration process of the Research Administration Unit and researchers. It starts with the design of the user interfaces and the database of the system. After that, the application program and its user manual are developed. The system is then tested and evaluated by users, who try it before responding to questionnaires. The software consists of five subsystems according to the main functions of research administration. They are 'Database Management System', 'Document Generation System', 'Research Budgeting System', 'Timetable and Status Monitoring System', and 'Statistical Report'. In the evaluation process, the users respond that the system can solve the existing problems by 74.2% of the evaluation points. The ease of use of the system scores 74.8% in the evaluation.
