Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มุ่งหมายที่จะพัฒนาเครื่องมือจัดการฐานข้อมูลสำรอง เพื่อให้ระบบฐานข้อมูลสำรองมีความพร้อมในการทำงานทดแทนฐานข้อมูลหลัก ในกรณีที่มีเหตุการณ์ร้ายแรงต่างๆ เกิดขึ้นส่งผลทำให้ฐานข้อมูลหลักเกิดความเสียหาย และไม่สามารถทำงานได้ตามปกติ ในการพัฒนาผู้วิจัยได้ทำการพัฒนาเครื่องมือในการจัดการฐานข้อมูลสำรองของออราเคิลบนเครื่องแม่ข่ายซันซึ่งมีระบบปฏิบัติการโซลาริส และได้นำโปรแกรมอรรถประโยชน์ที่มีอยู่แล้วมาใช้ร่วมกับใช้ภาษา คอร์นเชลล์ ที่พัฒนาขึ้นและมีการโต้ตอบกับผู้ใช้เป็นลักษณะเมนู เพื่อให้เกิดความสะดวกต่อการใช้งาน จากผลการวิจัยทำให้ได้เครื่องมือที่มีความสะดวกในการจัดการฐานข้อมูลสำรองและลดการทำงานที่ซ้ำซ้อนเพื่อลดความผิดพลาดที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นได้ อีกทั้งช่วยให้เจ้าหน้าที่ดูแลระบบฐานข้อมูลสามารถกู้คืนฐานข้อมูลให้กลับคืนสู่สภาพเดิมได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ลดปัญหาการสูญหายของข้อมูลได้ ซึ่งมีผลทำให้ข้อมูลมีความถูกต้องและมีความน่าเชื่อถือด้วย

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this thesis is to develop a tool of creating and managing a standby database for preparation to replace primary database when the primary database is destroyed from disaster. Primary database may be lost and cannot work properly. This tools developed to manage ORACLE standy database on SUN servers using SOLARIS oprating system and existing utilities and new developed shell scripts. The developed tool is helps a database administrators in managing database backup and recovery. The tool also help when a disaster happens.
