Abstract

ในงานป้องกันชายฝั่งทะเลมักใช้โครงสร้างเขื่อนกันคลื่นแยก (detached breakwater) ในการป้องกันการกัดเซาะ สำหรับการศึกษาวิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มุ่งศึกษารูปร่างชายฝั่งสมดุลระหว่างเขื่อนกันคลื่นแยก โดยพัฒนาแบบจำลองการเปลี่ยนแปลงชายฝั่งระหว่างเขื่อนกันคลื่นแยก (shoreline change between detached breakwater model, SCB) และการประยุกต์ใช้แบบจำลอง GENESIS ซึ่งพัฒนาโดย Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC), US Army Corps of Engineers แล้วเปรียบเทียบกับผลการศึกษา เกณฑ์การออกแบบเขื่อนกันคลื่นแยกในงานป้องกันชายฝั่ง เสนอโดย อาทิตยา เกศมาริษ (2540) การพัฒนาแบบจำลอง SCB นี้ได้พัฒนาขึ้น 5 แบบ ซึ่งในแบบแรกใช้วิธีคำนวณแบบ 1 มิติ ส่วนในแบบที่เหลือเป็นการคำนวณแบบ 2 มิติ โดยมีส่วนประกอบย่อยทั้งสิ้น 4 ส่วน ได้แก่ แบบจำลองคลื่น (wave model), แบบจำลองกระแสน้ำ (current model), แบบจำลองอัตราการเคลื่อนตัวของตะกอน (sediment transport model) และแบบจำลองการเปลี่ยนแปลงชายฝั่ง (shoreline change model) ผลการพัฒนาแบบจำลอง SCB นี้พบว่าค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การกระจายคลื่น (Kd) ที่ได้จากตารางของ Weigel (1962) มีความคลาดเคลื่อน ส่งผลให้เกิดความผันแปรความสูงคลื่นในบริเวณรอยต่อของบริเวณอันคลื่นมาก จึงเปลี่ยนมาทดลองใช้แบบจำลอง GENESIS การประยุกต์ใช้แบบจำลอง GENESIS กับเขื่อนกันคลื่นแยกใน 3 กรณี คือ กรณีแบบจำลอง, กรณีต้นแบบ และกรณีตัวอย่างศึกษา ซึ่งใช้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การเคลื่อนตัวของตะกอน K1 = 0.2 และ K2 = 0.13 ผลการคำนวณจากแบบจำลอง GENESIS ในทุกกรณี พบว่าให้รูปร่างชายฝั่งที่คล้ายคลึงกับผลจากแบบจำลองชลศาสตร์สำหรับกรณีแบบจำลองนั้นให้ผลของระยะเว้าที่ใกล้เคียงกับแบบจำลองชลศาสตร์ แต่ในกรณีต้นแบบและกรณีตัวอย่างศึกษา ให้ผลระยะเว้าที่แตกต่างจากแบบจำลองชลศาสตร์มาก เนื่องจากในกรณีของแบบจำลองชลศาสตร์ของอาทิตยานี้ประยุกต์ใช้เขื่อนกันคลื่นเป็นหัวหาดที่ทำให้เกิด Tombolo มาติด ซึ่งไม่สามารถประยุกต์ได้โดยแบบจำลอง GENESIS

In coastal protection, detached breakwaters are usually used to protect a shoreline from erosion. This thesis aimed at findings the equilibrium shoreline between detached breakwaters by development of a model of shoreline change between detached breakwaters (SCB model) and the application of the GENESIS model, developed by Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC), US Army Corps of Engineers. The results from both models were compared with the findings by Arthitaya (1997) in the study of Design Criteria of Detached Breakwater for Shoreline Protection. The SCB model was developed in 5 versions, the first version was computed in 1D scheme and the others were computed in 2D scheme. The SCB model had 4 submodels namely wave model, current model, sediment transport model and shoreline change model. It was found that the diffraction coefficient (Kd), obtained from the table given by Weigel (1962), had some errors which made much variation of wave height at the edge of shadow area. Consequently, the GENSIS modelwas tried. The applications of GENESIS to the detached breakwaters were computed in 3 cases namely; model case, prototype case and sample study case. The calibrated sediment parameters were K1 = 0.2 and K2 = 0.13. The results of GENESIS showed that shoreline shapes were well fitted with the results obtained from hydraulic model in all cases. The sag distances in the model case were closed to that of the hydraulic model. But they were quite different for the prototype and sample study cases. This might be due to the fact the Arthitaya's hydraulic models were applied to the cases with the presence of tombolo connected to the detached breakwaters which was inapplicable by GENESIS.
