Abstract

To investigate the role of the Ban Khai – Ban Bung feeder road in the agricultural development of the area in which it is located and to study transportation problems related to the feeder road. An analysis of the relationship of transportation to agricultural development in the area affected by the feeder road was made by studying the growth of agricultural production. It was found that the production of cassava and sugar cane in King Amphoe Pluak Daeng, most of which is within the affected area, displayed a significant growth. The growth may be due to the stimulation of farmers from other areas migrating here to occupy new farming areas. Also, the presence of the feeder road provided greater accessibility and in part served to attract farmers to this area. A model relating trip generation to information about farming has been tested in a computer to investigate the effects of agriculture upon road use. It was found that the distance from house to farm, the household size, and the area of the farm affected the generation of trips made by farming households.

ศึกษาถึงบทบาทของถนนสายบ้านค่ายบ้านบึง ที่มีต่อการขยายตัวทางด้านการเกษตรในพื้นที่ซึ่งถนนตัดผ่าน รวมทั้งศึกษาถึงปัญหาการขนส่ง อันเนื่องมาจากสภาพของถนน การวิเคราะห์ถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการขนส่ง และการขยายตัวในด้านเกษตรกรรมนั้น จะเปรียบเทียบอัตราการเพิ่มผลผลิตของพืชไร่ที่เก็บเกี่ยวในพื้นที่ที่ได้รับอิทธิพลของถนน กับพื้นที่อื่นที่ไม่ได้รับอิทธิพลเลย จากการศึกษาพบว่า ผลผลิตของมันสำปะหลังและอ้อยในกิ่งอำเภอปลวกแดง ซึ่งเป็นอำเภอที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากถนนสายบ้านค่าย – บ้านบึง มากที่สุด มีอัตราการเพิ่มสูงมาก การเพิ่มนี้อาจเนื่องมาจากเหตุผลที่ว่า กิ่งอำเภอปลวกแดงเป็นกิ่งอำเภอที่ตั้งขึ้นใหม่ มีที่ดินสำหรับเพาะปลูกมากมาย ทำให้ชาวไร่จากบริเวณอื่นๆ เข้ามาทำมาหากินเพิ่มขึ้นทุกปี อีกประการหนึ่งก็เนื่องมาจากถนนสายบ้านค่าย – บ้านบึง ทำให้การเดินทางสะดวกขึ้น ยิ่งจะดึงดูดชาวไร่เข้ามาเพาะปลูกในบริเวณดังกล่าวมากขึ้น เพื่อที่จะทราบว่ากระบวนการเกษตรกรรมมีความสัมพันธ์หรือมีอิทธิพลต่อปริมาณการเดินทาง การใช้รถใช้ถนนของชาวไร่มากน้อยอย่างไร จึงตั้งสมมติฐานว่าปริมาณการเดินทางจากบ้านไปยังบริเวณเพาะปลูกนั้น ขึ้นอยู่กับตัวแปรอิสระที่เกี่ยวกับการเกษตร เช่น ระยะทางจากบ้านไปยังไร่, ขนาดของครอบครัว, พื้นที่ที่ทำการเพาะปลูก, รายได้อันเนื่องมาจากการเพาะปลูก, จำนวนรถในบ้าน จากการทดสอบความสัมพันธ์นี้พบว่า ระยะทางจากบ้านไปยังไร่, ขนาดของครอบครัว และพื้นที่ที่ทำการเพาะปลูก มีอิทธิพลต่อปริมาณการเดินทางจากบ้านไปสู่ไร่
