Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะศึกษาชีวประวัติและผลงานวรรณกรรมของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ เพื่อให้เข้าใจถึงชีวิตและผลงานวรรณกรรมของนักประพันธ์ผู้นี้ในด้านต่างๆ และเพื่อวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและประเมิณคุณค่าผลงานประพันธ์ วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยมีดังนี้ (1) ศึกษาค้นคว้าจากหนังสือ วารสาร นิตยสาร หนังสือพิมพ์ และเอกสารอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับชีวิตและผลงานวรรณกรรมของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ (3) สร้างเครื่องวิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบของนวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ (4) วิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบด้านต่างๆ ของนวนิยายและเรื่องสั้นของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ รวมทั้ง 7 ด้าน (4.1) โครงเรื่องและเนื้อเรื่อง (4.2) ตัวละคร (4.3) ฉาก (4.4) บทสนทนา (4.5) ทัศนะหรือปรัชญาของผู้แต่ง (4.6) ประโยชน์ที่ผู้อ่านได้รับ (4.7) ความนิยมของผู้อ่านและคุณภาพของรูปเล่ม (5) ประเมิณคุณค่าผลงานของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ นวนิยาย และเรื่องสั้น ผลงานวรรณกรรมที่ประสบความรุ่งโรจน์มากที่สุดในชีวิตคือ ผลงานประเภทนวนิยาย โดยเฉพาะในช่วงเวลาระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2515 จนถึงปัจจุบัน ผลงานด้านการประพันธ์ตั้งแต่เรื่องแรก (พ.ศ.2489) จนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2521 มีจำนวนรวมทั้งสิ้น 62 เรื่อง ผลการประเมิณคุณค่าวรรณกรรมทั้ง 62 เรื่อง ปรากฎว่าผลงานวรรณกรรมของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ อยู่ในเกณฑ์ดี กล่าวคือ ได้คะแนนส่วนประกอบด้านต่างๆ รวมร้อยละ 90-99 เป็นจำนวน 22 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 35.48 ของจำนวนวรรณกรรมทั้งหมดที่นำมาวิจัย ได้คะแนนส่วนประกอบด้านต่างๆ รวมทั้ง 80-89 เป็นจำนวน 24 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 38.71 ของจำนวนวรรณกรรมทั้งหมดที่นำมาวิจัย และได้คะแนนส่วนประกอบด้านต่างๆ รวมร้อยละ 68-79 เป็นจำนวน 16 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 25.81 ของจำนวนวรรณกรรมทั้งหมดที่นำวิจัย ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ ใช้นามปากกาต่างๆ ในงานประพันธ์ทั้ง 62 เรื่องดังนี้ "จุลลดา ภักดีภูมินทร์" มี 16 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 25.81, "ศรีฟ้า ลดาวัลย์" มีเรื่อง 10 เริ่องคิดเป็นร้อยละ 16.13 และ "สีฟ้า" มี 36 เรื่อง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 58.06 ของจำนวนวรรณกรรมทั้งหมดที่นำมาวิจัย ข้อเสนอแนะ : (1) น่าจะมีการวิจัยผลงานของ ม.ล. ศรีฟ้า มหาวรรณ ต่อไปโดยเริ่มตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2521 เป็นต้นไป เพราะมีผลงานที่ดีเด่นอีกหลายเรื่องในช่วงเวลานี้ (2) แบบวิเคราะห์วรรณกรรมที่ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างขึ้นน่าจะมีผู้นำไปดัดแปลงปรับปรุงแก้ไขเพื่อใช้วิเคราะห์ผลงานด้านนวนิยายของนักประพันธ์อื่นๆ

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The objective of this thesis is to study life and literary work of M.L. Sripha Mahawan for the purpose of gaining more knowledge of her life and her works, and also to analyze and evaluate her works. Methods used in this research are : (1) making a documentary research through books. Periodicals, newspapers and other documents concerning the life and literary works of M.L. Sripha Mahawan ; (2) interviewing people concerned with the author ; (3) making scales for analyzing her novels and short stories; (4) analyzing her working on 7 aspects : (4.1) plot and theme, (4.2) characters, (4.3) settings, (4.4) dialogues, (4.5) writer’s opinions or philosophy, (4.6) readers’ advantages, (4.7) readers’ pleasure and qualities of formats; (5) evaluating her works on 7 aspects in (4) by statistical methods. The result of the research is concluded that M.L. Sripha Mahawan’s literary works can be grouped into novels and short stories. Her novels has the most successful especially from 1972 to the present time. There are altogether 62 titles of her works from the beginning in 1946 to 1978. The evaluation on her literary works has show that the literary components are excellent in various aspects. There are 22 titles (35.48%) get 90-99% in the literary components; 24 titiles (38.71%) get 80-89% in the literary components and 16 titles (25.80%) get 68=79% in the literary components. M.L. Sripha Mahawan uses three pen names in her 62 literary works. She uses " Jullada Bhakdeebhumintra" in 16 titles (25.81%); "Sripha Ladawalaya" in 10 titles (16.13%) and "Sipha" in 36 titles (58.06%) of 62 titles. Recommendation : (1) There should be another research on M.L. Sripha Mahawan’s literarty works from 1978- | because there are many interesting works in this time; (2) Scales for analysing for this research should be applied for other researches on other authors’ literary works.
