Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 2 ประการ คือ หนึ่ง เพื่อวิเคราะห์แนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบของซาร์ตร์ในข้อเขียนต่าง ๆ สอง เพื่อเพิ่มเติมแนวคิดของซาร์ตร์ในเรื่องนี้ให้สมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้น แนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบของซาร์ตร์สำคัญ ในแง่ที่ว่าเป็นผลสืบเนื่องมาจากแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับเสรีภาพของซาร์ตร์ และในแนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบนี้เอง ซาร์ตร์เขียนไว้คลุมเครือและกระจัดกระจายหลากหลายทั้งในข้อเขียนทางปรัชญาและในผลงานทางวรรณคดีด้านบทละครทั้งหมด หลังจากที่ได้ศึกษาวิจัยอย่างเจาะลึกในหัวข้อนี้แล้ว ผู้วิจัยค้นพบว่า ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับความหมายของความรับผิดชอบของซาร์ตร์ คลี่คลายไปในทางที่ดีขึ้นในแง่ที่ว่าในฐานะนักปรัชญาที่เชิดชูเสรีภาพของมนุษย์อย่างเต็มที่ ซาร์ตร์ไม่เพียงแต่จะมีแนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบในเชิงปทัสถานเท่านั้น แต่ยังมีแนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบในเชิงข้อเท็จด้วย อันเป็นมิติใหม่ทางปรัชญาของซาร์ตร์ที่ผู้วิจัยไม่เคยรับรู้มาก่อน แนวคิดว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบทั้งในเชิงปทัสถานและในเชิงข้อเท็จจริงนี้ช่วยสนับสนุนให้ระบบความคิดของซาร์ตร์ในประเด็นนี้ครบถ้วนสมบูรณ์ อย่างไรก็ดี แนวคิดดังกล่าวของซาร์ตร์ก็ยังเต็มไปด้วยจุดอ่อนมากมายเช่นเดียวกับ แนวคิดว่าด้วยเสรีภาพของเขาดังนี้ผู้วิจัยได้นำมาวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ในตอนท้ายของวิทยานิพนธ์ ผู้วิจัยมั่นใจว่าการเข้าใจแนวคิดของซาร์ตร์ว่าด้วยความรับผิดชอบนี้จะนำไปสู่การเข้าใจแนวคิดอื่น ๆ ของซาร์ตร์ได้ดีขึ้น

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This thesis has two major aims: one, to analyze Sartre’s Concept of Responsibility in his various works and two, to add to this concept, to provide a more complete picture of his ideas. Sartre’s concept of Responsibility is important in the fact that it is closely related to his Concept on Freedom. Sartre has written widely but ambiguously about Responsibility in various philosophical and literary work especially in plays. After extensive research and analysis, the writer found that we can view Sartre’s Concept of Responsibility in a good light because Sartre, as a philosopher who puts Freedom as the highest quality of man, does not only have a definite concept on normative responsibility, but also has a very strong concept of descriptive responsibility. The latter is a concept of philosophy that has not been much looked at before. These two concepts of responsibility add to the completeness of his ideas on Responsibility. However, there are several weaknesses to his argument, as found in his Concept on Freedom as studied in the last part of this thesis. An understanding of Sartre’s concept of Responsibility as explained in this thesis will surely lead to a clearer understanding of his other philosophical concepts.
