Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีจุดหมายเพื่อการศึกษาแนวคิดเรื่องจริตกับการบรรลุธรรมในคัมภีร์พุทธศาสนาเถรวาท ผลวิจัยพบว่า จริตเป็นผลของกรรมและเป็นเหตุให้เกิดการทำกรรมที่แสดงออกมาเป็นพฤติกรรมตามสภาวธรรมที่เป็นกุศลหรืออกุศลที่นอนเนื่องอยู่ในจิตใจ ทำให้บุคคลมีพฤติกรรมที่แตกต่างกัน จริตจึงทำให้ทราบว่าบุคคลมีสภาวธรรมที่สั่งสมมาแต่ในอดีตชาติ อันเป็นตัวกำหนดรูปแบบแห่งพฤติกรรมในปัจจุบันชาติ เมื่อจะปฏิบัติเพื่อการหลุดพ้นจึงต้องพิจารณาว่าจริตของผู้นั้น เป็นอย่างไร เพื่อจะได้ใช้หมวดธรรมมาแก้ไขปัญหาได้ถูกต้องอันจะทำให้บรรลุมรรคผลได้ตามที่ตั้งใจไว้ พระพุทธเจ้าเมื่อจะทรงเทศนาโปรดบุคคลใด จะทรงตรวจดูจริตของบุคคลนั้นก่อนแล้วจึงแสดงธรรม ภายหลังจึงมีการจำแนกบุคคลออกเป็นจริตต่าง ๆ เพื่อประโยชน์ในด้านการบำเพ็ญธรรม กล่าวคือ พิจารณาว่า บุคคลนั้นมีจริตที่เป็นฝ่ายกุศลหรือฝ่ายอกุศล แล้วจึงมอบกรรมฐานที่เหมาะสมแก่จริตนั้น ๆ เพื่อให้ได้บรรลุธรรมได้รวดเร็ว เรื่องทฤษฎีจริตจึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการ บำเพ็ญธรรมและการบรรลุธรรมในพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this thesis is to study Carita and its relation to religious attainment in the Theravada Buddhist scripture. The research shows that Carita is the result of good and bad karma in the past and at the same time serves as its in this life. The past karma determines the present behaviour which is called Carita to attain religious goal Carita has to be taken into consideration so that the teacher can guide his disciple with a suitable Dharma. The concept of Carita was later systematized and classified to facilitate the practice of Dharma. It is therefore crucial in practicing the Path and closely related to the enlightenment in the Theravada Buddhism.
