Abstract

งานวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นงานวิจัยที่อยู่บนพื้นฐานของแนวคิดประพันธกร มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภูมิหลัง ประสบการณ์ ผลงานภาพยนตร์ วิธีการในการกำกับภาพยนตร์ และวิเคราะห์หาแนวทางในการกำกับภาพยนตร์ของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ โดยศึกษาจากผลงานภาพยนตร์และสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกหาข้อ มูลจากบุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภูมิหลังและตัวตนที่สำคัญของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ คือ ความสามารถในการประพันธ์ และความสามารถที่เกิดจากการหาประสบการณ์เชิงประจักษ์ ประกอบกับบุคลิกลักษณะนิสัยของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ ซึ่งมีด้วยกัน 2 ส่วน คือ การเป็นผู้มีระบบระเบียบทางวิธีคิดและวิธีการทำงาน ขณะเดียวกัน ก็มีความประณีตละเอียดอ่อน มีจินตนาการ ชอบการสร้างสรรค์ รักในธรรมชาติ รักการแสวงหา ชอบค้นคว้า และใฝ่รู้นั้น ล้วนแล้วแต่มีผลต่อแนวการกำกับและผลงานภาพยนตร์ของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ ทั้งสิ้น ทั้งนี้จะเห็นได้ว่า วิจิตร คุณาวุฒินั้น เป็นผู้ควบคุมในส่วนสำคัญของการสร้างสรรค์งานภาพยนตร์ทั้งหมด ตั้งแต่การเขียนบท การกำกับการแสดงและการตัดต่อด้วยตนเอง ทว่าในส่วนของงานการจัดการนั้น ได้มอบหมายให้ผู้อื่นทำงานแทน ซึ่งจะเห็นได้ว่า ลักษณะของการทำงานเช่นนี้ เป็นลักษณะของผู้ที่ต้องการควบคุมเฉพาะทุกขั้นตอนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเล่าเรื่อง เพื่อที่จะสามารถรักษาสิ่งที่ตนเองต้องการสื่อและคุณภาพในการสื่อให้เป็นไปอย่างที่ต้องการ ตามแบบของ Story Teller ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแนวคิดประพันธกร ที่เชื่อว่า ผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์เป็นเสมือนประพันธกรของภาพยนตร์นั้น ๆ ผลงานภาพยนตร์ของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ มีแนวทางการกำกับภาพยนตร์ที่มีการผสมผสานรูปแบบและวิธีการของแนวคิดหลายแนว แต่เน้นที่ความสมจริงและเป็นธรรมชาติขององค์ประกอบต่าง ๆ กับการเน้นด้านการแสดงให้เห็นถึงอารมณ์ของตัวละครและบรรยากาศของภาพยนตร์เป็นสำคัญ นอกจากนั้น แนวคิดที่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์มักเป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับศักดิ์ศรีของความเป็นมนุษย์ สอดแทรกแนวคิดในเชิงพุทธและสะท้อนความเป็นนักธรรมชาตินิยมของวิจิตร คุณาวุฒิ ด้วย

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This research, based on the autuer theory, aims to study the background, the experiences, the movies and film directing in order to find out the directing styles of Vichit Kunavudhi. This is done by studying the movies he made and by depth interview of relevant key informants. It is found that the main background and identity of Vichit Kunavudhi are his ability in writing and his direct experiences. Besides, his systematic approaches in the way he thinks and the way he works, together with his sensitivity and imagination, his love of nature, and his inquisitive mind collectively influence his directing styles and his movies. Vichit controls all important components of his production : writing the screenplay, directing and editing, while leaving the management to other people. This is the sure way of controlling every step of story telling in order to maintain the message and the quality of communication in the fashion of story-teller. These findings conform with the auteur theory which says that the film director is virtually the author of the film. Vichit’s style of film directing is a combination of many patterns and concepts. However, his focus remains on realistic and natural appearances of various components, the emotional expression in acting, and the overall atmosphere of the movies. Moreover, the themes that usually reappear in his movies involve human dignity, concepts in Buddhism and his own interest as a naturalist.
