Abstract

วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย 1. เพื่อศึกษาถึงขนาด และแบบของตัวพิมพ์ภาษาไทยที่มีความเหมาะสมในการพิมพ์แบบเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2. เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทัศนสมรรถในการอ่านตัวพิมพ์ภาษาไทยขนาด และแบบต่างๆกัน 11 ชนิด คือ - ตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวบางขนาด 14, 16, และ 18 ปอยท์ - ตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวฝรั่งเศสขนาด 14, 16 และ 18 ปอยท์ - ตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวเอนขนาด 16 และ 18 ปอยท์ - ตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวฝรั่งเศสดำ ขนาด 14,16, และ 18 ปอยท์ วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย 1. ตัวอย่างประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ทั้งชายและหญิงคละกัน จำนวน 440 คน โดยสุ่มจากโรงเรียนในส่วนกลาง 6 โรงเรียน เป็นโรงเรียนราษฎร์ 2 โรงเรียน โรงเรียนรัฐบาล 2 โรงเรียน และโรงเรียนสังกัดทบวงมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ 2 โรงเรียน 2. เครื่องที่ใช้ในการวิจัย เป็นแบบทดสอบความเร็ว และความถูกต้องในการอ่านตัวพิมพ์ไทยโดยสร้างจากตัวพิมพ์ไทย 11 ชนิด ซึ่งสำรวจ และคัดเลือกจากขนาดและแบบต่างๆ ของตัวพิมพ์ในตลาดการพิมพ์ไทย 3. ทำการทดสอบเบื้องต้น เพื่อหาระยะเวลาเฉลี่ยในการทำแบบทดสอบ 4. ทดสอบกับนักเรียนทั้ง 440 คน นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาหาคะแนนเฉลี่ย แล้วทดสอบความแตกต่างด้วย F-Test สรุปผลการวิจัย 1. ตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวบางขนาด 16 ปอยท์ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด และมีความเหมาะสมที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับขนาด และแบบตัวพิมพ์อื่นๆ 2. ตัวพิมพ์แบบฝรั่งเศสมีความเหมาะสมมากที่สุดในขนาด 14 ปอยท์ และ 18 ปอยท์ และมีความเหมาะสมรองลงมาเมื่อเทียบกับขนาด และแบบตัวพิมพ์อื่นๆ 3. ความสามารถในการอ่านตัวพิมพ์แบบตัวบาง และแบบฝรั่งเศสดำทั้ง 3 ขนาด มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญ 0.05 ส่วนแบบฝรั่งเศสไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน 4. ความสามารถในการอ่านตัวพิมพ์ขนาด 14 ปอยท์ ของตัวพิมพ์ทั้ง 3 แบบ มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญ 0.05 ส่วนขนาด 16 ปอยท์ และ 18 ปอยท์ ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

Purpose : 1. To study the optimum size and face of Thai types for texts in the upper elementary education level. 2. To compare the visibility of 11 kinds of Thai types varying in size and face. Procedure : 1. The sample consisted of both sex from six central schools, two private schools, two public schools and two demonstration schools. 2. The test used in this study was Speed and Accuracy Test constructed from 11 Thai types selected from size and face used in Thai typing. 3. Pretesting to find approximate time. 4. The data were analyzed into means and the F-test was used to test the means differentiation. Result : 1. The ordinary type face of 16 point size had the highest mean score and had the best appropriate comparing with all size and face types. 2. The French-face types had the best appropriate in 14 point size and 18 point size and had less appropriate than 16 point size in ordinary face type only. 3. The speed and accuracy in reading of the three ordinary face type and the bold face type had different effects with the significant level of 95% bit not significant in the French-face types. 4. The speed and accuracy in reading of the three point size had different effects with the significant level of 95% but not significant in the 16 and 18 point size.
