Abstract
Canine Parvovirus serum antibody titres in puppies before the first parvovirus vaccination were studied in Thailand. The titres were measured by haemagglutination inhibition test (HI). The puppies had HI titers between 320-10,240 with a mean of 1,280. There was no correlation between titres and either age or previous history of CPV vaccination in the bitches that produced the puppies. There was also no apparent association between titres and either sex or breed. The titres of bitches and their pups in breeding kennels were comparable.(ศึกษาระดับภูมิคุ้มกันต่อโรคลำไส้อักเสบจากเชื้อพาร์โวไวรัสในสุนัข จากตัวอย่างเลือดลูกสุนัขก่อนฉีดวัคซีนครั้งแรกที่โรงพยาบาลสัตว์เล็ก คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหา วิทยาลัย ศูนย์การสุนัขทหาร ฟาร์มเอกชนและคลินิกเอกชน จำนวน 102 ตัวอย่าง โดยวิธี Hemagglutination Inhibition Test ผลปรากฏว่าลูกสุนัขทุกตัวมีระดับภูมิคุ้มกันอยู่ในช่วง 320-10,240 (CPV-HI titer) มีฐานนิยม 1,280 ไม่พบความแตกต่างของระดับไตเตอร์ระหว่างลูกสุนัขในกลุ่มอายุต่าง ๆ และในกลุ่มลูกจากแม่ที่มีประวัติฉีดวัคซีน ไม่ได้ฉีด หรือไม่ทราบประวัติการฉีดวัคซีน นอกจากนี้ยังไม่พบความสัมพันธ์ของ CPV-HI titer กับเพศสุนัข และพันธุ์ต่าง ๆ สำหรับลูกในครอกเดียวกันพบว่าส่วนใหญ่มี CPV-HI titer น้อยกว่าหรือ เท่ากับที่พบในแม่สุนัข)
