Abstract
Toxicity of freshwater puffer, Tetraodon fangi, T. palembangensis and T. Suvattii collected from Amphur Shrangkom, Udorn Thani Province of Thailand was described. The specimens were collected from March through November 1989. The most toxic concentration of 3569 MU/g. The toxicity of the skin of the rest of the samples during the study period was generally lower than 50 MU/g. Tetraodon fangi was the most toxic species followed by T. palembangensis and T. suvattii respectively. Skin of all specimens was the most toxic organ.
