Abstract
Sandra Lee McKay is Professor of English at San Francisco State University, where she teaches ESL methods and materials development and socio-linguistics. She has trained English teachers in many countries, including the Philippines and South Africa, on Fulbright and U SIS grants. On her visit to CULI (Chulalongkorn University Language Institute) to give a presentation at the National Seminar entitled "Activating English : Putting Life into ELT", PASAA was honoured to interview her.
