Abstract

The saturated solutions of Ca(OH)2 were carbonated by CO2 in air under static and turbulent conditions. The saturation state of starting solution and carbonation methods had effect on the crystal habit. The phase of CaCO3 precipitated from saturated solution is calcite. No metastable phase of CaCO3 was found.
