Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลการวิเคราะห์ตัวประกอบระหว่างการใช้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบฟีกับแบบเตตระคลอริคในการคำนวณเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์ โดยมุ่งเปรียบเทียบค่าความร่วมกัน น้ำหนักตัวประกอบหลังจากการหมุนแกน และจำนวนตัวประกอบ สำหรับวิเคราะห์ตัวประกอบจากแบบสอบที่มีจำนวนข้อสอบเป็น 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, และ 80 ข้อ จากข้อมูลจริง โดยในชุดข้อสอบแต่ละชุดนี้จะมีขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างในการทดลองจำนวน 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,200, 1,400 และ 1,600 คน ซึ่งแต่ละขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างจะสุ่มตัวอย่างมาชุดละ 100 ครั้ง ตามเทคนิคการวิจัยแบบมอนติคาร์โล ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. จำนวนตัวประกอบที่วิเคราะห์จากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์ที่คำนวณจากค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบฟี จะมีจำนวนตัวประกอบน้อยกว่าจำนวนตัวประกอบที่วิเคราะห์จากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์ที่คำนวณจากค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเตตระคลอริค แต่เมื่อขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างเพิ่มขึ้น จะมีจำนวนตัวประกอบที่เท่ากันมากขึ้น 2. ค่าเฉลี่ยของค่าความร่วมกัน (h 2/j ) ในการวิเคราะห์ตัวประกอบจากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์ที่คำนวณจากค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเตตระคลอริค มากกว่าค่าเฉลี่ยของค่าความร่วมกันในการวิเคราะห์ตัวประกอบจากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์ที่คำนวณจากค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบฟี อย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 ในทุกข้อ ทุกขนาดของแบบสอบ และในทุกขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 3. ค่าเฉลี่ยของน้ำหนักตัวประกอบ (aᵢj) ภายหลังจากการหมุนแกนที่วิเคราะห์จากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเตตระคลอริคนั้น มากกว่าค่าเฉลี่ยของน้ำหนักตัวประกอบภายหลังจากการหมุนแกนที่วิเคราะห์จากเมตริกซ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบฟี อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ 1,372 คู่ ซึ่งคิดเป็น 56% ไม่แตกต่างกัน 489 คู่ ซึ่งคิดเป็น 19.96% และน้อยกว่า 589 คู่ ซึ่งคิดเป็น 24.04% จากการเปรียบเทียบทั้งสิ้น 2,450 คู่

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purposes of this research were to compare the communalities, factor loadings and numbers of factors using matrix of correlation calculated by phi and tetrachoric correlation coefficients for dichotomous variables. The tests consisted of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 items were factor analyzed through the Monte Carlo methods for the sample size of 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,200, 1,400 and 1,600 persons. Each case was simulated for 100 times. The findings could be summarized as follows: 1. The numbers of factors obtained from the analysis of phi correlation matrix were less than numbers of factors obtained from tetrachoric correlation matrix in every case. The numbers of equal factor, from phi and tetrachoric were increased when the sample size increase. 2. The means of communalities analyzed from matrix of tetrachoric correlation were significantly higher than means of communalities analyzed from matrix of phi correlation at .05 level in every item, every size of test, and every sample sizes. 3. The means of factor loadings analyzed from matrix of tetrachoric correlation were significantly higher than the means of factor loadings analyzed from matrix of phi correlation in 1,372 loadings but it significantly less than phi for 589 leadings. However, it also found that there were 489 means of factor loadings that show no significant difference at .05 level.
