Abstract

บรรณาธิการและบรรณารักษ์นับเป็นวิชาชีพสารนิเทศที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาสังคมการอ่านและสังคมการเรียนรู้ เนื่องจากการทำงานของวิชาชีพทั้งสองมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกันและมีเป้าหมายเดียวกัน คือ การเพิ่มอัตราการอ่านในสังคม คุณสมบัติและทักษะสำคัญที่ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพทั้งสองพึงมีจึงคล้ายกันหลายประการ ดังนั้น หากบรรณารักษ์ และบรรณาธิ การมีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับลักษณะงาน ตลอดจนได้เรียนรู้แนวทางการพัฒนาทักษะการทำงานซึ่งกันและกัน รวมทั้งมีความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน จะก่อให้เกิดพลังในการผลักดันวงการหนังสือและสังคมการอ่านในประเทศไทยให้พัฒนายิ่งขึ้น

Editors and librarians are information professions which play an important role in developing reading and learning society. This is because the key functions of these two professions are interactive with each other and aim to reach the same goal, that is, to promote reading activities in the society.Due to this, essential qualifications and skills that these two professionals are required to have are quite similar. The paper concludes that if librarians and editors mutually understand the characteristics of their works, develop their professional skills, and cooperate with each other, the power reinforcing the development of Thai book industry and reading society will be generated.
