Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้คลังปัญญาจุฬา ฯ เพื่อประเทศไทยของอาจารย์และนิสิตบัณฑิตศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในด้าน วัตถุประสงค์ ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศ เนื้อหา ความถี่ในการใช้ และวิธีการสืบค้น ตลอดจนปัญหาในการใช้คลังปัญญาจุฬาฯเพื่อประเทศไทย โดยใช้แบบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล จำนวน 580 ชุด ผลการวิจัย พบว่า อาจารย์และนิสิตบัณฑิตศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้คลังปัญญาจุฬาฯ เพื่อประเทศไทยเพื่อการวิจัยและทำ วิทยานิพนธ์ โดยอาจารย์ใช้ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศประเภทงานวิจัยมากที่สุด ส่วนนิสิตใช้ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศวิทยานิพนธ์มากที่สุด เนื้อหาที่ใช้มากที่สุดคือเนื้อหาทางด้านเทคโนโลยี ใช้ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศภาษาอังกฤษ และใช้ทรัพยากรสารนิเทศที่มีอายุ 4 - 6 เดือน มีความถี่ในการใช้ไม่แน่นอน เรียนรู้การใช้ด้วยตนเองจากประสบการณ์การค้นระบบสืบค้นรายการแบบออนไลน์ ใช้ทางเลือก Basic Search และใช้การสืบค้นด้วยคำสำคัญเพียงคำเดียวเป็นกลยุทธ์ในการสืบค้น จำกัด/ขยายผลการสืบค้นโดยใช้ Search Type: ประเภทของการสืบค้น และใช้ Titles เป็นทางเลือกในการจำกัดในการจำกัด/ขยายผลการสืบค้น อาจารย์และนิสิต บัณฑิตศึกษาประสบปัญหาในการใช้คลังปัญญาจุฬาฯ เพื่อประเทศไทย ในระดับปานกลางทุกด้าน สำหรับด้านทรัพยากรสารนิเทศ ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ไม่ทราบว่ามีทรัพยากรสารนิเทศประเภทใดบ้างที่ให้ข้อมูลได้อย่างเหมาะสมตามความต้องการ ด้านวิธีการสืบค้น ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ไม่มีประสบการณ์การสืบค้นแบบซับซ้อน ด้านการแสดงผล ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ผลการสืบค้นไม่ตรงกับความต้องการ ส่วนด้านอื่น ๆ ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ไม่สามารถพิมพ์เอกสารที่ต้องการได้ The purpose of this research was to study the use of Chulalongkorn University Intellectual Repository (CUIR) by Chulalongkorn University faculty members and graduate students, in terms of objectives, information Resources, subjects, frequency of use, search strategies, and problems encountered. Questionnaires were used in gathering data from 580 faculty members and graduate students. The results indicate that the majority of the faculty members and graduate students use CUIR for conducting research. The type of information resources mostly used by faculty members is research while the one mostly used by students is Thesis. Technology is the subject mostly searched. The materials they mostly use are in English and published within the past 4-6 months. The frequency of use is uncertain. Most participants learn how to use CUIR themselves from their experiences of online searching. They use the “Basic Search” option and keyword searching as their strategies. They limit or expand search results by using the “Search Type” and “Titles.” All problems they encounter in using CUIR are at the moderate level. The problems receiving the highest mean score for each type of the problem are as follows: Not knowing what type of information resources are appropriate for the problem of information resources, lack of complex search experience for the problem of search strategy, and unmatched search result responding to their needs for the problem of display. In regard to the other problems, the problem which receives the highest mean score is that the needed documents cannot be printed out.
