An amalgam of progressive, humanistic and khit-pen Philosophies forms the core--direction and contents--of adult education in Thailand. By empirically investigating the level of the civil servant elite's six value commitment variables and by cross tabulating these variables with seven socioeconomic characteristics, it is inferred that adult education seems to be in good hands with this civil servant elite. There still exists room for improvement and betterment of adult education, however.
