Abstract
Studies of the fascial space abscess in 63 patients at dental department, Saraburee hospital found that there were 44 male and 19 female patients. The age of the patients which commonly found was in the range of 11-20 years. In most coses, the cause of this disease was found to be dental etiology and patients came to the hospital because of the acute abscess. Inflammation and swelling were commonly found at a mandibular buccal space which was corresponded to mandibular molars. The important treatments were described to be supportive treatments, removal of causes, adequate drainage of pus and rational antibiotics treatments. (จากการศึกษาผู้ป่วยที่มารับการรักษาที่แผนกทันตกรรม ร.พ. สระบุรีจํานวน 63 คน เนื่องจากมีการบวมและอักเสบของบริเวณใบหน้า พบว่าเป็น เพศชาย 44 คน หญิง 19 คน อายุที่พบบ่อยที่สุด 11-20 ปี ส่วนใหญ่มี สาเหตุมาจากฟัน ผู้ป่วยมักจะมาด้วยอาการอักเสบชนิดเฉียบพลัน บริเวณของ ใบหน้าที่พบมีการอักเสบและบวมมากที่สุดคือ Buccal Spaces ซึ่งจะสัมพันธ์กับ พื้นที่ทําให้เกิดการอักเสบมากที่สุดคือ ฟันกรามล่าง วิธีการรักษาที่สําคัญคือการให้ Supportive Treatment การกําจัดสาเหตุ การระบายหนองอย่างเพียงพอ รวม ถึงการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างมีเหตุผล)
