Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the degree of curvature of the palatal canal of maxillary molar teeth in the Thai population. The degree of curvature of palatal canals of two hundred and fourteen maxillary molars were measured using Schneider's method. The results were; 95 teeth or 44.39% were 0°, and 119 teeth or 55.60% were curved to the buccal, the ratio straight: curved was 1:1.25, the mean of curvature was 15.39°, the most frequency of curvature was 20°-29°. At the 95% confidence interval the incidence of the buccal curvature of palatal canal is 48.3% to 61.7%.
