Dentigerous cyst: Report of 2 cases (ถุงน้ำเดนติเจอรัส)

Abstract

Dentigerous cyst is recognized as one of odontogenic cysts of the jaws. Two cases of the large dentigerous cysts are reported. The first case expressed as a dentigerous cyst associated with supernumerary tooth involving right maxillary sinus at premolars region and cortex expansion was seen. The second case expressed as dentigerous cyst associated with impacted lower third molar at lower right molars region and paresthesia at right side of lower lip was also reported. The clinical, radiographic histological findings and the methods of treatment of these two cases were reported and discussed.(ถุงน้ำเดนเจอรัสเป็นถุงน้ำที่มีจุดกําเนิดที่เกี่ยวกับการเกิดของฟันโดยลักษณะของถุงน้ำจะคลุมอยู่รอบตัวฟันที่ยังไม่ขึ้น หรือในฟันที่กําลังจะโผล่ขึ้นมาในช่องปาก โดยที่ตัวฟันนั้นเจริญเติบโตเต็มที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว บทความนี้เป็นรายงานผู้ป่วย 2 ราย ที่มีถุงน้ำขนาดใหญ่ โดยผู้ป่วยรายแรกมีถุงน้ำเดนเจอรัสที่เกิดจากฟันเกินเบียดลึกเข้าไปในโพรงอากาศแม็กซิลล่า ข้างขวาบริเวณฟันกรามน้อยซี่ที่หนึ่งทําให้ใบหน้า 2 ข้างไม่เท่ากัน ส่วนผู้ป่วยรายที่ 2 มีถุงน้ำเดนติเจอรัสขนาดใหญ่ที่เกิดจากฟันคุดกรามล่างซี่สุดท้ายในกระดูกขากรรไกรล่างข้างขวาทําให้มีอาการชาบริเวณริมฝีปากล่างข้างขวา นอกจากนั้นยังได้รายงานถึงลักษณะอาการทางคลีนิก ลักษณะภาพถ่ายรังสี ลักษณะทางจุลพยาธิวิทยา การรักษาและการพยากรณ์ของถุงน้ำชนิดนี้ด้วย)
