Abstract

Success of removable partial denture treatment depends upon several factors. One of the factors is the selection of direct retainer. There are many direct retainers available for selection. This article reviews the currently accepted direct retainer of choice in distal extension removable partial denture. Each clasp assemble is reviewed. The relevant studies are also included.
