Abstract
This article details an application of Roy’s Adaptation Model (RAM) in providingnursing care for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) experiencing changes associatedwith required haemodialysis (HD). RAM guides the assessment of the patients’ levels ofadaptation and facilitates the management of stimuli to promote their adaptation. The nursingintervention focuses on issues surrounding the adverse effects of HD treatment includingphysical, psychological, and social changes.
