Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนามีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสนใจเลือกเรียนต่อสาขาเฉพาะทางในวิชาชีพแพทย์ บุคลิกภาพและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องของนิสิตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่6คณะแพทยศาสตร์จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยปีการศึกษา 2552 จำนวน 159 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามในเรื่องของปัจจัยทางการเรียนและความสนใจในการปฏิบัติงาน แบบสอบถามปัจจัยทางสังคมและแบบทดสอบบุคลิกภาพ 16 PF(The Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรม SPSS for Windows สถิติที่ใช้คือ ค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน Chi-square test | Fisher’s exact test และ Mann Whitney U test. ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นิสิตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 6 มีความสนใจในการเลือกเรียนต่อสาขาเฉพาะทางในวิชาชีพแพทย์ ร้อยละ 96.9 โดยสาขาที่นิสิตมีความสนใจมากที่สุดคือสาขาอายุรศาสตร์ร้อยละ 33.3 รองลงมาคือสาขา ศัลยศาสตร์ ร้อยละ 12.6 ตามลำดับโดยมี ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องและมีความสัมพันธ์กับการเลือกเรียนต่อสาขาเฉพาะทางในแต่ละสาขาวิชาประกอบด้วยปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ผลการเรียนในชั้นปรีคลินิก และชั้นคลินิกรวมถึงผลการฝึกปฏิบัติทางคลินิกที่มีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับค่า p น้อยกว่า 0.01 และผลการศึกษาด้านบุคลิกภาพพบว่านิสิตแพทย์มีบุคลิกภาพที่แสดงออกถึงลักษณะค่อนข้างที่จะฉลาด เรียนรู้ได้เร็ว คิดแบบนามธรรมเก่ง มีความสุขุม รอบคอบ จริงจัง ชอบลงมือปฏิบัติและมีทักษะทางสังคม มีอิสระทางความคิดชอบการเปลี่ยนแปลง ชอบพิสูจน์ และมีลักษณะของการพึ่งตนเอง ตัดสินใจด้วยตนเอง นิสิตแพทย์ที่มีความสนใจเลือกเรียนต่อเฉพาะทางในแต่ละสาขามีลักษณะองค์ประกอบบุคลิกภาพที่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับค่า p น้อยกว่า 0.05 สรุปพบนิสิตแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 6 มีความสนใจที่จะเลือกเรียนต่อสาขาเฉพาะทางในวิชาชีพแพทย์โดยมีปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเลือกเรียนต่อคือ ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ผลการเรียนที่ผ่านมาในชั้นปรีคลินิก และชั้นคลินิก รวมถึงทักษะการฝึกปฏิบัติทางคลินิกและมีองค์ประกอบทางบุคลิกภาพที่แตกต่างกันของนิสิตที่มีความสนใจเลือกเรียนต่อสาขาเฉพาะทางในวิชาชีพแพทย์

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this descriptive research was to study interest in medical specialties, personalities and correlated factor in sixth year medical student, Faculty of Medicine Chulalongkorn University. Data of One hundred and fifty-nine medical students were collected by using self - rating questionnaire to assess for personal data academic and professional performance, social influences as well as personality characters (16PF). Statistical analysis was done by using SPSS for windows .The data was analyzed by percentage, mean ,standard deviation chi-square test | fisher’s exact test and Mann Whitney U test . The results were revealed that medical students were interested to study in medical specialties 96.6 percent. Most of medical student were interested in Internal Medicine 33.3 percent and surgery 12.6 percent. Other correlated factor to the interest in medical specialties each field consisted of personal factor, GPAX in pre-clinic ,clinical level including the confidence in clinical performance with the statistical significance p < .01. Outcome of personality profiles shown that medical students generally had more abstract thinking | restrained prudent taciturn serious | practical concern with down to earth issues steady, shrewd, polished, socially aware diplomatic | experimental liberal open to change | self – sufficient resourceful prefers own decisions . The result also revealed that the different specialties of student interest significantly correlated to different personality profile as well as GPAX and confidence in performance.
