Abstract

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาภาวะสุขภาพจิต และ ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ของผู้เข้ารับบริการจากหมอดู ณ สมาคมโหรแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชินูปถัมภ์ กรุงเทพมหานคร รูปแบบการวิจัย การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา ณ ช่วงเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่ง (Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study) กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ประชาชนที่เข้ารับบริการจากหมอดู จำนวน 400 คน วิธีการศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วยแบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล, แบบสอบถามการสนับสนุนทางสังคม, แบบวัดเหตุการณ์ความเครียดในชีวิต และ ดัชนีวัดสุขภาพจิตคนไทยฉบับสั้น (TMHI-15) วิเคราะห์โดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา, สถิติแบบไค-สแควร์ และการวิเคราะห์ความถดถอยเชิงพหุ ผลการศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง (ร้อยละ 75.2) มีอายุเฉลี่ย 34 ปี จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี หรือ สูงกว่า (ร้อยละ 66.2) โดยส่วนใหญ่มีภาวะสุขภาพจิตอยู่ในระดับเท่ากับคนทั่วไป (ร้อยละ 47.5) และ ร้อยละ 30.2 มีภาวะสุขภาพจิตอยู่ในระดับต่ำกว่าคนทั่วไปโดยปัจจัยที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับภาวะสุขภาพจิต ได้แก่ รายได้, ความเพียงพอของรายได้, การสนับสนุนทางสังคม, เหตุการณ์ความเครียดในชีวิต, การเสี่ยงโชค, การเสพกัญชา, สาเหตุในการเข้ารับบริการจากหมอดู, ปัญหาการเงิน, ผลที่คาดว่าจะได้รับจากหมอดู, การเข้ารับบริการสุขภาพจิต และ ความคิดเห็นที่มีต่อผู้เข้ารับบริการสุขภาพจิต (p<0.05) ส่วนปัจจัยที่สามารถทำนายภาวะสุขภาพจิต ได้แก่ เหตุการณ์ความเครียดในชีวิต, พฤติกรรมการเสี่ยงโชค และ ความคิดเห็นต่อผู้เข้ารับบริการสุขภาพจิต สรุปผล ผู้เข้ารับบริการจากหมอดู ณ สมาคมโหรแห่งประเทศไทย ส่วนใหญ่มีภาวะสุขภาพจิตอยู่ในระดับเท่ากับคนทั่วไป และ ร้อยละ 30.2 มีภาวะสุขภาพจิตอยู่ในระดับต่ำกว่าคนทั่วไป โดยปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาวะสุขภาพจิต ได้แก่ เหตุการณ์ความเครียดในชีวิต, พฤติกรรมการเสี่ยงโชค และ ความคิดเห็นต่อผู้เข้าบริการสุขภาพจิต

Objective: To study mental health and associated factors among clients of astrologers at the Astrological Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen (ATT) Bangkok. Setting: Astrological Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen (ATT) Bangkok. Research design: Cross sectional descriptive study. Samples: Four hundred clients of astrologers. Methods: Self-report questionnaires, Social support questionnaires, Life stress event questionnaires and Thai Mental Health Indicator (TMHI-15). Statistical tests used include descriptive statistic, Chi-square and Multiple Linear Regression analysis. Results: Most subjects were female (75.2%). Their average age was 34 years. Most subjects finished bachelor’s degree and above (66.2%). Most subjects had normal level of mental health (47.5%) and low level of mental heath (30.2%). Associated factors of mental health were income, balance of income, social support, life stress event, gamble, marijuana use, reasons for consulting an astrologer, money problem, advantage of astrologer’s services, mental health services and attitude to clients of mental health services (p < 0.05). The predictors of mental health include life stress event, gamble and attitude to clients of mental health. Conclusions: Most subjects had normal level of mental health and low level of mental health (30.2%). Associated factors of mental health were life stress event, gamble and attitude to clients of mental health services.
