Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบอัตราการตอบกลับ ความเร็วในการตอบกลับ และความสมบูรณ์ในการตอบกลับแบบสอบถามระหว่างวิธีการส่งแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์และไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่มีรูปแบบการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าต่างกันโดยศกษากับนิสิตระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาในสาขาวิชาที่ต่างกัน 4 สาขาวิชา (สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์กายภาพ สาขาวิชาสังคมศาสตร์ และสาขาวิชามนุษยศาสตร์) กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนิสิตจุฬาลงกรณ์ที่เช้าศกษาในปีการศึกษา 2541 จำนวน 3,114 คน ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1.กลุ่มที่ได้รับแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์มีอัตราการตอบกลับ (34.40%) สูงกว่ากลุ่มทีได้รับแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (7.66%) ประมาณ 4.5 เท่า 2. กลุ่มที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบทางไปรษณีย์มีอัตราการตอบกลับ (27.66%) สูงกว่ากลุ่ม ที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (20.53%) และสูงกว่ากลุ่มที'ไม่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่างหน้า (14.89%) 3. กลุ่มที่ศึกษาอยู่ในสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์กายภาพ (26.01%) มีอัตราการตอบกลับสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ศึกษาอยู่ในสาขามนุษยศาสตร์ (22.22%) สูงกว่าสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ (19.27%) และสาชาวิชาสังคมศาสตร์ (18 43%) 4. มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างวิธีการล่งแบบสอบถามกับสาขาวิชาต่ออัตราการตอบกลับ โดยพบว่าสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์กายภาพน้อยกว่าสาขาอื่นในเรื่องอัตราการตอบกลับทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (29.1%) กับทางไปรษณีย์ (70.9%) 5. มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรูปแบบการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้ากับสาขาวิชาต่ออัตราการตอบกลับ โดยพบว่าในทุกสาขาวิชามีอัตราการตอบกลับในกลุ่มที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าทางไปรษณีย์สูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และกลุ่มที่ไม่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้า ยกเว้นในสาขามนุษยศาสตร์ที่กลุ่มที่ไม่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้ามีอัตราการตอบกลับสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์และสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้าทางไปรษณีย์ 6. วิธีการล่งแบบสอบถามล่งผลต่อความเร็วในการตอบกลับแบบสอบถาม โดยในกลุ่มที่ได้รับแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (ประมาณ 4 วัน) มีอัตราการตอบกลับสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับแบบสอบถามทางไปรษณีย์ (ประมาณ 8 วัน) 7. วิธีการส่งแบบสอบถาม รูปแบบการแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้า และสาขาวิชา ไม่ส่งผลต่อความสมบูรณ์ในการตอบกลับแบบสอบถาม

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The objective of this research was to compare the response rate, response speed, and response completeness between questionnaires sending through mail and E-mail with different pre-notification method. The study was conducted with graduate students in 4 fields of study (bio-science, physical science, social science and humanity). The sample were 3,114 Chulalongkorn University graduate students Results of the study were as follows : 1. The response rate of sending through mail (34.40%) was higher than sending by E-mail (7.66%) about 4.5 times. 2. The response rate of sending through mail with pre-notification (27.66%) was higher than sending by E-mail with pre-notification (20.53%), and with non pre-notification (14.89%). 3. The response rate of students in physical science (26.01%) was higher than those of the students in humanity (22.22%), bio science (19.27%), and social science (18.43%), respectively. 4. There was the interaction between the sending methods and the field of study on the response rate. The difference of the response rate of sending through E-mail (29.1%) and mail (70.9%) of the students in physical science was less than the others. 5. There was the interaction between the pre-notification methods and the field of study on the response rate. The response rate of sending through mail with pre-notification in every field was higher than sending by Email with pre-notification and sending with non pre-notification, except for the response rate of sending with non pre-notification of the students in humanity was higher than sending by E-mail and mail with pre-notification and was higher than sending by mail one. 6. The sending method affected the speed of response. The response rate of sending by E-mail (about 4 days) was higher than sending by mail (about 8 days). 7. There was no interaction among the sending methods, the pre-notification methods, and the field of study on response completeness.
