Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทย ในด้านของผู้ผลิต ประเภทเนื้อหาและปีที่พิมพ์ รวมทั้งศึกษาแหล่งสารนิเทศที่มีการรวบรวมสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทยในด้านจำนวน ประเภท และเนื้อหาของสิ่งพิมพ์ ตลอดจนการให้บริการและปัญหาของแหล่งสารนิเทศ เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้ปฏิบัติงานในการจัดหาและให้บริการสิ่งพิมพ์ ตลอดจนผู้ใช้บริการสามารถเข้าถึง สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีที่ต้องการได้ วิธีการวิจัย แบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ สำรวจห้องสมุดที่มีการรวบรวมสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวี ไทยจำนวน 17 แห่งโดยการสัมภาษณ์บรรณารักษ์/หัวหน้าแหล่งสารนิเทศจำนวน 17 คนและวิเคราะห์สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทยที่ห้องสมุดด้งกล่าวรวบรวม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทยส่วนใหญ่ผลิตโดยหน่วยงานราชการ เป็นสิ่งพิมพ์ประเภทรายงานการวิจัย มีเนื้อหาทางด้านธุรกิจการขนส่งทางเรือ และเป็นสิ่งพิมพ์ที่ผลิตในช่วงปี พ.ศ.2521 -2530 ผลการสำรวจห้องสมุด 17 แห่งที่รวบรวมสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทยพบว่าห้องสมุด ที่มีสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีไทยมากที่สุด คือ ห้องสมุดสถาบันพาณิชยนาวี รองลงมาคือ ห้องสมุด สำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงคมนาคม โดยที่ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่รวบรวมสิ่งพิมพ์ต่อเนื่อง และสิ่งพิมพ์ที่มีเนื้อหา ทางด้านธุรกิจการขนส่งทางเรือมากกว่าสิ่งพิมพ์ประเภทอื่นและเนื้อหาด้านอื่น ๆ บริการที่ห้องสมุดทุกแห่งจัดคือ บริการให้อ่านในห้องสมุดและบริการตอบคาถามช่วยการค้นคว้า ส่วนบริการที่ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่จัดได้แก่ บริการยืมคืน บริการกฤตภาค บริการดรรชนีวารสาร บริการถ่ายเอกสาร และบริการค้นฐานข้อมูลสิ่งพิมพ์ที่ห้องสมุดจัดทำขึ้นในด้านปัญหาของห้องสมุดนั้น พบว่า ทุกแห่งประสบปัญหาด้านจำนวนสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีที่ให้บริการมีไม่เพียงพอ และที่ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ประสบปัญหาในระดับมาก คือ สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีส่วนใหญ่เป็นภาษาต่างประเทศทำให้มีราคาสูง สิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีที่เป็นภาษาไทยมีการผลิตน้อย และสิ่งพิมพ์ทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีที่ผลิตขึ้นในโอกาสต่าง ๆ มีจำนวนน้อยและเผยแพร่ในวงจำกัด ตลอดจนปัญหาบุคลากรไม่มีความรู้ในเนื้อหาทางด้านพาณิชยนาวีดีเพียงพอในการให้บริการสิ่งพิมพ์

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The objectives of the research are to analyse the Thai merchant maritime publications in terms of publishers, types, contents and published year; and to study the information resources in terms of quautity, types and contents of publications as well as the problems of the sources. The research aims to benifit both the librarians in providing a better services and the users เท acquiring the publications. The methods of study are to survey 17 libraries which collects the Thai merchant maritime publications, interview 17 librarians or heads of the information resources, and to analyse the publications contained in each resources. The study reveals that most of the publications are produced by government agencies. Most of them are researches and the contents concern mostly with maritime transport. Furthermore, most of them are published during the year 2521 B.E.- 2530 B.E. The surveys of the 1 7 libraries lead to find that the library which has the most merchant maritime publications is the library of the Merchant Marine Institute, Chulalongkorn University and the second is the library of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Communications. Most of the publications are serial publications and the contents concern with maritime transport. The facilities generally provided by the libraries are reading room and reference services. Moreover, most services are circulating service, clipping, indexing of periodicals, duplicating, and database searching. The problem which the libraries face is inadequate publications to serve the users. The important problems are most of the merchant maritime publications are imported and they are quite expensive. There are a few of Thai publications and they are published in limited quantity, and lack o' specialised librarians in the field of maritime transport.
