Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้ต่อดรรชนีวารสารภาษาไทยสาขาเศรษฐศาสตร์ที่กำหนดโดยศัพท์ควบคุมและศัพท์อิสระในด้านศัพท์ดรรชนีที่ใช้ ผลการค้น และเวลาที่ใช้ในการค้น ประเมินผลการค้นคืนสารนิเทศโดยใช้ศัพท์ดรรชนีในด้านอัตราการเรียกค้น (Recall ratio) และอัตราความถูกต้องและตรงกับความต้องการ (Precision ratio) รวมทั้งศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคของผู้ใช้ในการใช้ศัพท์ดรรชนีทั้ง 2 ประเภท ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้ใช้มีความพึงพอใจต่อศัพท์ดรรชนีที่กำหนดโดยศัพท์อิสระในด้านศัพท์ดรรชนีที่ใช้ ผลการค้นและเวลาที่ใช้ในการค้นมากกว่าศัพท์ควบคุม เมื่อนำผลการค้นมาคำนวณหาอัตราการเรียกค้น (Recall ratio) และอัตราความถูกต้องและตรงกับความต้องการ (Precision ratio) พบว่าการค้นคืนสารนิเทศด้วยศัพท์ควบคุมและศัพท์อิสระมีความสัมพันธ์ไปในทางเดียวกัน กล่าวคือเมื่อค่า recall เพิ่มขึ้น ค่า precision จะเพิ่มขึ้นด้วย อย่างไรก็ตามเมื่อคำนวณหาค่าความสัมพันธ์ทางสถิติพบว่าความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง recall และ precision อยู่ในระดับต่ำ ผู้ใช้กลุ่มใหญ่สุดมีความเห็นว่าการใช้ศัพท์ควบคุมมีปัญหาในด้านไม่มีศัพท์ดรรชนีที่ต้องการในฐานข้อมูลและศัพท์ดรรชนีมีให้เลือกน้อยส่วนผู้ใช้กลุ่มใหญ่สุดที่ใช้ศัพท์อิสระประสบปัญหาในด้านศัพท์ดรรชนีมีความหมายซ้ำซ้อนกัน

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The research aims at studying users' satisfaction with the use of Thai economic periodical indexes, assigned by controlled and uncontrolled vocabularies, in terms of the vocabularies used, search output and search time ; assessment of the information retrieval by using the indexes in the recall and precision ratios ; problems and obstacles in using both types of indexes. The result of the study reveals that users are more satisfied with the indexes assigned by uncontrolled vocabularies in terms of vocabularies used, as well as search output and search time than those assigned by controlled vocabularies. When the search output is calculated for the recall and precision ratios, it is found that the information retrieval by controlled vocabularies and that by uncontrolled vocabularies are related that is when the recall ratio increases, the precision ratio will also increase. However, in calculation for statistic correlation, it is found that the recall and precision ratios are correlated at low level. The largest group of users think that problems in using controlled vocabularies are caused by the fact that there are no indexes needed in the database and that there are not enough of them to be chosen. The largest group of users of uncontrolled vocabularies face the problem of the vocabularies having repetitive meanings.
