Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้ต้องการศึกษาว่านักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นใช้เว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคมอย่างไร และมีแรงจูงใจอะไรบ้างที่ทำให้นักเรียนกลุ่มนี้เลือกใช้เว็บไซต์ดังกล่าว นอกจากนี้ งานวิจัยนี้ยังจะศึกษาว่าเด็กกลุ่มนี้รับรู้ว่าเว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคมให้ข้อดีและข้อเสียอย่างไรบ้าง ตลอดจนพบว่ามีปัญหาหรืออุปสรรคใดบ้างที่ทำให้ใช้เว็บไซต์ดังกล่าวได้ ไม่สะดวก ในงานวิจัยนี้จะศึกษาด้วยว่าผู้ใช้กลุ่มนี้รู้สึกกังวลเกี่ยวกับเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัวและความปลอดภัยจากการใช้เว็บไซต์ดังกล่าวบ้างหรือไม่ รวมถึงศึกษาด้วยว่าผู้ปกครองได้ให้ความสนใจต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บไซต์เหล่านี้ของบุตรหลานอย่างไร งานวิจัยนี้จะเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงสำรวจจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 420 คน และวิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 10 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่านักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นจะใช้เว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคม เพื่อติดต่อสื่อสารกับเพื่อน ใช้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวัน และทำในสิ่งที่ทำไม่ได้ ในชีวิตจริงหรือทำในชีวิตจริงได้ยาก ส่วนพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บไซต์ดังกล่าวของเด็กกลุ่มนี้จะไม่ ค่อยมีผลกระทบต่อสังคม นักเรียนกลุ่มนี้จะใช้เว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคมเพื่อสนองความ ต้องการของตัวเองและสนองความต้องการทางสังคม รูปแบบของเว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคมมีผลต่อการเลือกใช้เว็บไซต์ดังกล่าวของผู้ใช้กลุ่มนี้ สำหรับพฤติกรรมที่เด็กกลุ่มนี้มีต่อคนแปลกหน้าในโลกของความเป็นจริงจะต่างจากโลกของเว็บไซต์เครือข่ายทางสังคม และยังพบว่ามีนักเรียนที่อายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปีถึงร้อยละ 18 ได้ฝ่าฝืนเงื่อนไขในการสมัครใช้เว็บไซต์ ดังกล่าว

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The research examines how secondary school students use social sites. It also studies their motivation to use these sites. Moreover, it aims to find the perceived advantages and disadvantages of social networking sites and problems or obstacles related to the use these sites. Furthermore, this research studies whether the students are concerned about privacy and safety when they use these sites and the extent to which parents monitor their children when they use social networking sites. Data were gathered by means of a survey of four hundred twenty students and in-depth interviews with ten students respectively. The results show that lower secondary school students use social networking site mainly to communicate with friends as a part of their daily lives and to obtain information that is difficult to obtain in their real lives. These do not affect the society. The finding reveals that motivations to use social networking sites are both individual needs and social needs. The types of social networking sites also determine their use. The students feel that communication with strangers offline is different from online. The study also indicates that 18 percent of children under the age of 13 use social networking sites, despite minimum age limits.
