Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นงานวิจัยที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาชีวประวัติภูมิหลัง ผลงาน ปรัชญาทางด้านการแสดง พัฒนาการทางด้านการแสดง และมุมมองการทำงานในการแสดงภาพยนตร์ของสรพงศ์ ชาตรี ซึ่งเป็นงานวิจัยที่อยู่บนพื้นฐานของแนวคิดเรื่องการแสดง โดยศึกษาจากผลงานภาพยนตร์ เอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกหาข้อมูลจากบุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า แม้ภูมิหลัง และตัวตนที่สำคัญของสรพงศ์ ชาตรี จะไม่ได้ผ่านการเรียนการแสดงมาก่อน แต่สรพงศ์ก็สามารถที่จะคิดค้นหาวิธีการแสดงได้ด้วยตนเอง และด้วยประสบการณ์การทำงาน จึงทำให้สรพงศ์ ชาตรี ซึบซับความรู้ วิธีการทางด้านการแสดงจากทั้งตัวผู้กำกับ และนักแสดงที่มีประสบการณ์ จนในที่สุดจึงเกิดความชำนาญมากขึ้นตามลำดับ ซึ่งปรัชญาในการเข้าถึงทางด้านการแสดงของสรพงศ์เชื่อว่าการแสดงที่ดีจะต้องมาจากภายใน (Inner) ซึ่งเป็นการทำให้ตนเองมีความรู้สึกนึกคิด และอารมณ์แบบตัวละคร อย่างไรก็ตามด้วยประสบการณ์และความชำนาญ ทำให้สรพงศ์ ชาตรีสามารถสร้างเทคนิคการแสดงขึ้นมาได้ด้วยตนเอง โดยมิจำเป็นต้องสร้างอารมณ์จากภายในขึ้นมาก่อน แต่สามารถใช้เทคนิคความคุ้นเคยที่ตนเองได้เคยผ่านการแสดงมาก่อน มาปรับใช้การแสดงได้ทันที ซึ่งนักแสดงประเภทนี้จะถูกเรียกว่าเป็นนักแสดงผู้มีความสมดุล (Balance Actor)นอกจากนี้ประสบการณ์ ทั้งในด้านการทำงานและจากชีวิตจริงยังส่งผลต่อพัฒนาการทางด้านการแสดงของสรพงศ์ ชาตรี ให้ดีมีความสมบทบาท และเป็นธรรมชาติมากขึ้น แต่ทั้งนี้ต้องขึ้นอยู่กับองค์ประกอบอื่นๆด้วยเช่น ระบบการสร้าง วิธีการกำกับของผู้กำกับ และบทภาพยนตร์ และบทบาทที่สรพงศ์ ชาตรีจะทำได้ดีและถูกชื่นชมมากที่สุดก็คือบทบาทการแสดงภาพแนวชีวิตส่วนในเรื่องของมุมมองทางการทำงานในการแสดงภาพยนตร์นั้น สรพงศ์ ชาตรีมองว่านักแสดงที่ดีควรจะมีความรัก ความชอบทางด้านการแสดง ความขยันหมั่นเพียร คำนึงถึงคุณภาพของงาน เข้าใจชีวิตและรู้จักนำประสบการณ์ชีวิตมาปรับใช้กับการแสดง และหมั่นศึกษาหาความรู้ใหม่ๆ และด้วยการศึกษาและยึดหลักคำสอนพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในชีวิต สรพงศ์จึงมองว่านักแสดงที่ดีควรเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีให้กับประชาชน และรู้จักตอบแทนคุณต่อสังคมอีกด้วย ดังนั้นการที่สรพงศ์ ชาตรีถูกยกย่องให้เป็นศิลปินแห่งชาติ สาขาการแสดงนั้นจึงมีความเหมาะสมเป็นอย่างยิ่ง

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The aim of this research is to examine the biography, achievement, philosophy, development and personal attitude towards screen acting career of Sorapong Chatree. This is basically a qualitative research based on the Theory of Acting. The methodology consists of content analysis of films starred by Sorapong Chatree and in-depth interview of people involved in his work.The findings of this research are as follows. Although Sorapong Chatree never attended any formal acting school, he nevertheless managed to acquire acting method of his own by learning from his own experience, film directors and experienced actors until he eventually perfected his acting skills. In terms of his philosophy about acting, Sorapong believes that good acting must be projected from the Inner self. This would lead the actor to think, behave and express emotion of the specific character. However, his life-long experience and skills in screen acting have granted him the ability to acquire his own technique without relying on the building up of the Inner. This type of actor is technically known as “Balance Actor". In addition, it is found that Sorapong can use his past experience and real life experience to develop better skills and more natural acting style. However, this all depends to a great extent on other factors, such as mode of production, director’s method and film script. The most outstanding and admirable role performed by Sorapong Chatree is undoubtedly a dramatic role.As regards his attitude towards screen acting, Sorapong believes that a good actor must be someone who really loves acting career. He must also be hard working, show a strong concern for the quality of acting, have a good understanding of life and can adapt it to his acting career. Moreover, he must never stop learning, i.e. he should acquire new knowledge all the time and regards Buddha’s teachings as guidance in life. A good actor must be idol for the public and should return his gratitude to the society whenever he can. It is therefore most appropriate to grant him the title of Thailand National Artist (Performing Arts).
