Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการเผยแพร่และรูปแบบของอคติทางเพศที่ถูกนำเสนอในการ์ตูนตลกไทย ใช้วิธีศึกษาวิจัยแบบวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาของหนังสือการ์ตูนรวมทั้งสิน 24 เล่ม จากหนังสือการ์ตูนตลกไทย 6 หัว ได้แก่ เกมเศรษฐีจี้เส้น, ขายหัวเราะ, มหาสนุก, ตลาดตลก, ยิ้มสยาม และฮากลิ้งสาวคำพอง ซึ่งออกจำหน่ายในช่วงเดือนกันยายนถึงธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2552 โดยศึกษาวิเคราะห์ภาพตัวแทนของทั้งตัวละครเพศชายและตัวละครเพศหญิงผ่านอคติเชิงมุ่งร้ายและอคติเชิงเมตตาที่ปรากฏในเนื้อเรื่อง, ความรุนแรง, รูปลักษณ์ทั้งกายภาพและลักษณะนิสัย, บทบาท, สถานะ และความโป๊เปลือย ผลการศึกษาดังนี้ 1. การ์ตูนตลกไทยนำเสนอทั้งอคติต่อเพศชายและอคติต่อเพศหญิง แต่พบรูปแบบและปริมาณอคติต่อเพศหญิงมากกว่าอคติต่อเพศชาย 2. ผู้หญิงถูกนำเสนอด้วยภาพตัวแทนของวัตถุทางเพศ, เพศที่คุกคามผู้ชาย, เพศที่อ่อนแอ และภาพตัวแทนของภรรยา 3. ผู้ชายที่มีคุณลักษณะของบุรุษเพศ (masculine) ถูกนำเสนอด้วยภาพตัวแทนของผู้ที่ชอบใช้ความรุนแรงมากกว่าเหตุผล และผู้ชายที่มีคุณลักษณะของสตรีเพศ(Feminine) ถูกนำเสนอด้วยภาพตัวแทนของผู้หญิงข้ามเพศที่มีนิสัยลามก บ้าผู้ชาย ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่าหนังสือการ์ตูนตลกไทยเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการทำให้อคติทางเพศในสังคมรุนแรงขึ้นเช่นเดียวกับสื่ออื่นๆในประเทศไทย

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

This research aims at studying the prevalence and the format of sexism representation in Thai comic books by content analyzing 24 copies of Thai comic books namely Game Saitti Jisen, Kai Huaroh, Talad Talok, Maha Sanook, Yim Siam and Ha-gling Sao Kampong which were on market between September and December, 2009. It examined how male and femal comic characters were portrayed with regard to hostile and benevolent sexism in the storyline, violence, appearances, characteristics, social roles, nudity and character’s status. The results are as follows: 1. Thai comic books contain sexism against both men and women but sexism against women is more prevalent. 2. Women are presented mainly as sexual objects, threats to men, the vulnerable sex and as wives. 3. Masculine men are presented as unreasonably violent and feminine men are presented as perverted transsexual. The results suggest that Thai comic books do promote sexism as other media.
