Abstract
ศึกษาถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการจัดหน้าหนึ่งของหนังสือพิมพ์และหนังสือพิมพ์ออนไลน์ และการเลือกเปิดรับข่าว และการรับรู้ลำดับความสำคัญของข่าวของผู้อ่าน ทั้งนี้การวิจัยครั้งนี้อาศัยวิธีการทดลองโดยใช้นิสิตจำนวน 30 คนเป็นผู้เข้าร่วมทดลอง ซึ่งแบ่งโดยการสุ่มออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม กลุ่มแรกอ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ และกลุ่มที่ 2 อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ออนไลน์ชื่อฉบับเดียวกัน สำหรับการเลือกเปิดรับข่าววัดด้วยวิธีให้ผู้เข้าร่วมทดลองขีดเส้นใต้ข้อความที่ได้อ่านไป หลังจากอ่านข่าวแล้วก็ให้ผู้เข้าร่วมทดลองทำแบบทดสอบการรับรู้ลำดับความสำคัญของข่าว ผลการเลือกเปิดรับข่าวของผู้อ่านพบว่า การจัดหน้าหนึ่งของหนังสือพิมพ์และหนังสือพิมพ์ออนไลน์ ส่งผลต่อการเลือกเปิดรับข่าวของผู้อ่าน โดยผู้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์มีแนวโน้มที่จะเลือกเปิดรับข่าว ที่มีความสอดคล้องกับการจัดอันดับของบรรณาธิการ มากกว่าผู้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ออนไลน์ ส่วนผลการกำหนดวาระข่าวสารไม่ได้เป็นแบบเดียวกันระหว่างหนังสือพิมพ์ทั้งหมด สำหรับผู้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ ผู้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ออนไลน์จัดลำดับความสำคัญของข่าวได้ใกล้เคียงกับ ลำดับที่หนังสือพิมพ์กำหนดไว้มากกว่า ในขณะที่หนังสือพิมพ์ คม ชัด ลึก ผู้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์จัดลำดับความสำคัญของข่าวได้ใกล้เคียงกับลำดับที่หนังสือพิมพ์กำหนดไว้มากกว่า ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้อภิปรายผลและให้ข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมไว้ในงานวิจัยแล้ว.
Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)
To study the relationship between first page layout of daily and online newspaper and readers’ news selection and their ranking of the importance of the news. This experimental research used 30 students as subjects. They were divided randomly into two groups. The first group read the printed newspapers and the second group read the online versions of the same newspapers. News selection was measured by the process tracing method in which the subjects were asked to underline the content they read. After reading, the subjects were asked to complete a test measuring the perceived importance of the news. The result of their selection of news show that the first page layouts of daily and online newspaper affect the readers’ selection of news. Readers of the print version tended to select news in accordance with the ranks set by the editor more often than did the online readers. The agenda setting effect were not uniform across all the newspapers. For Thairath readers, the readers of the online version ranked the news importance more closely to the order set by the newspaper where as in the case of Komchadluek, the print version readers ranked the news more closely to the order set by the newspaper. The researcher discussed the finding and gave suggestion for further studies.
