Abstract

ศึกษาการสนับสนุนของผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ต่อการพัฒนาวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์ในด้านการวางแผนการสนับสนุน รูปแบบ กิจกรรมและเนื้อหาที่ให้การสนับสนุน และความต้องการการสนับสนุนจากผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ในการพัฒนาวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์ ในด้านรูปแบบ กิจกรรม เนื้อหา รวมทั้งปัญหาในการพัฒนาวิชาชีพ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล จากผู้บริหารและบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาทั้งของรัฐและเอกชน จำนวน 48 แห่ง รวมจำนวนผู้บริหารของห้องสมุดทั้งสิ้น 41 คน และบรรณารักษ์จำนวน 350 คน ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ สนับสนุนรูปแบบการพัฒนาวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์ โดยสนับสนุนให้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเต็มเวลาและสนับสนุนงบประมาณในบางกิจกรรม สำหรับกิจกรรมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพที่ผู้บริหารห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ส่วนใหญ่ให้การสนับสนุนด้านเวลาและงบประมาณคือ การเข้าร่วมประชุมของสมาคมวิชาชีพบรรณารักษศาสตร์และสารนิเทศศาสตร์ และการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ รูปแบบการสนับสนุนการพัฒนาวิชาชีพที่บรรณารักษ์ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการคือ ให้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเต็มเวลาและต้องการให้สนับสนุนงบประมาณทั้งหมด สำหรับกิจกรรมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพที่บรรณารักษ์ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการให้สนับสนุนด้านเวลา และด้านงบประมาณคือ การเข้าร่วมประชุมของสมาคมวิชาชีพบรรณารักษศาสตร์และสารนิเทศศาสตร์ สำหรับปัญหาในการพัฒนาวิชาชีพบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ส่วนใหญ่ระบุว่าขาดทักษะด้านภาษาต่างประเทศ

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

To study the support of the academic library administrators for the librarians professional development, in terms of, support planning, formats, activities and content, and the needs for administrators' support, in terms of, formats activities, including professional development problems. This research was a survey using questionnaires to collect data from 41 administrators and 350 librarians in 48 state nd private universities. The results indicate that the most of academic library administrators support the librarian professional development by providing a chance to participate in activities full-time and providing budget for some activities. The activities that most administrators support, in terms of, times and budget are library and information sciences, and workshops. The formats of professional development that most librarians needed are participating in activities full-time and receiving full financial support. Most librarians need time and financial support in participating library and information sciences is inadequate foreign language skills.
