Abstract
วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะแสดงให้เห็นมโนทัศน์เรื่องการกำหนดตนเองของแครอลกิลลิแกนในจริยศาสตร์แห่งความอาทร โดยเปรียบเทียบมโนทัศน์ดังกล่าวในจริยศาสตร์แห่งความอาทรกับในจริยศาสตร์กระแสหลักโดยแนวคิดของจริยศาสตร์ของอิมมานูเอล คานท์ ซึ่งมองมโนทัศน์เรื่องการกำหนดตนเองบนพื้นฐานของธรรมชาติที่มีเหตุผลของมนุษย์ มโนทัศน์เรื่องการกำหนดตนเองของกิลลิแกนตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานของการมีบริบทและความสัมพันธ์ ซึ่งคือการกำหนดตนเองในความหมายของการวิพากษ์ตนเอง มโนทัศน์ดังกล่าวได้สลายขั้วตรงข้ามระหว่าง เหตุผลกับอารมณ์ ความเป็นสากลกับความเฉพาะ และความเป็นกลางกับอคติ โดยการใช้ 'ตรรกะทางจิตวิทยา' ในการสลายขั้วดังกล่าวกิลลิแกนได้ให้นิยามใหม่แก่มโนทัศน์เรื่องความเป็นกลางด้วยวิธีที่เรียกว่า 'วิธีการเข้าถึงความจริง' ข้อสรุปที่ได้จากการวิจัยนี้คือการกำหนดตนเองในความหมายของการวิพากษ์ตนเองเป็นมโนทัศน์ที่มีเหตุผลใช้ได้ อีกทั้งมีมุมมองที่ 'เป็นกลาง' ในการตัดสินทางศีลธรรม
Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)
This thesis intends to contruct Carol Gilligan's concept of autonomy in an ethics of care. Contrasted with traditional ethical theory, especially Kantian concept of autonomy which is based on rational nature of human being, Gilligan's concept of autonomy is based on centext and relationship, i.e., self-critical autonomy. This concept of autonomy surpasses dichotomies of rationality-emotionality, universality-particularity and impartiality-bias by using 'psychological logic'. In surpassing those dichotomies, Gilligan ethics of care redefiness the concept of impartiality by employing what she terms the 'method of truth'. The conclusion of this research is that self-critical autonomy is a valid concept that can have moral value and 'impartial' view of moral judgement.
