Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษานวนิยายแปลสำหรับเยาวชนจากภาษาตะวันตกซึ่งจัดพิมพ์ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2532-2540 จำนวน 239 ชื่อเรื่องในด้านผู้จัดทำภาษาต้นฉบับ ประเภท แนวคิด รูปแบบการนำเสนอ ลักษณะเด่นของหนังสือ และองค์ประกอบของหนังสือ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า หนังสือนวนิยายแปลสำหรับเยาวชนจากภาษาตะวันตกจำนวนมากที่สุดร้อยละ 16.32 จัดพิมพ์ในปี พ.ศ. 2539 ด้านผู้จัดทำ หนังสือนวนิยายแปลทั้งหมด 239 ชื่อเรื่อง เป็นผลงานของผู้แปลจำนวน 104 ราย ส่วนใหญ่จำนวน 231 ชื่อเรื่อง (ร้อยละ 96.65) ระบุชื่อผู้แต่ง ซึ่งมีจำนวน 151 ราย ร้อยละ 60.25 ระบุชื่อบรรณาธิการ ซึ่งมีจำนวน 47 ราย และเกือบทั้งหมดจัดพิมพ์โดยสำนักพิมพ์ภาคเอกชน จำนวน 39 ราย หนังสือนวนิยายแปลส่วนใหญ่แปลจากต้นฉบับภาษาอังกฤษ เป็นนวนิยายประเภทสมจริงและจำนวนมากที่สุดร้อยละ 26.36 มีแนวคิดเรื่องมิตรภาพ นำเสนอแบบการบรรยายโดยผู้แต่งสลับกับบทสนทนาของตัวละคร ด้านตัวละครเอกส่วนใหญ่เป็นมนุษย์ เพศชาย มีอายุระหว่าง 6-11 ปี มีสถานภาพเป็นนักเรียน/นักศึกษา หนังสือนวนิยายแปลร้อยละ 33.89 มีลักษณะเด่นโดยส่วนใหญ่จำนวน 40 ชื่อเรื่อง (ร้อยละ 35.65) เป็นหนังสือที่ต้นฉบับเป็นหนังสือขายดี ด้านองค์ประกอบของหนังสือ หนังสือส่วนใหญ่ มีขนาด 13 X 18.5 ซม. (พ็อกเก็ตบุ๊ค) มีจำนวนหน้ามากกว่า 200 หน้า มีตัวอักษรขนาด 14 พ้อยท์ ส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 91.63 มีภาพประกอบเป็นภาพวาดการ์ตูนลายเส้น มีคำนำ สารบัญ ร้อยละ 77.82 และ 58.16 ตามลำดับ และหนังสือร้อยละ 22.18 มีประวัติผู้แต่ง ร้อยละ 9.21 มีประวัติผู้แปล

Other Abstract (Other language abstract of ETD)

The purpose of this research is to study 239 translated juvenile novels from western languages published from 1989 to 1997, in term of, publisher, original language. Convention, theme, presentation, distinction and featues. The result are as follows : 16.32 percent of the books studied were published in 1996. 239 titles are translated work of 103 Translators. 95.65 percent of the 239 title studied (231 titles) Show the author’s names. The total number of the authors is 151. 60.25 percent show the editors’ names. The number of which is 47 editors. Most of the books were published by 39 private publishing homes. Most are realistic novels. 26.36 percent have Friendship as their main theme. The stories are presented through the author’ voice with dialogues of the characters. The Protagonists are mostly 6 - 11 years old male, students. 33.05 percent are distinctive. 35.65 percent are best - sellers. The ganeral features of the translated novels are : The size (13 X 18.5 cm.), the number of pages (more than 200 page) and the font size (14 point font). Also 91.63 percent have drawing as illustrations ; 77.82 percent have introduction ; 58.16 percent have a table of contents ; 22.18 percent include the author’s biography and 9.21 percent have the translator’s biography.
